Reinvent Love

Crimson Skies

"Psst.... Ruby" Addy said in the middle of the night.

"w-what the?" I said very confused as I woke up to her right next to my face.

"I have an idea, come with me" I heard her say.

I got up willingly and asked," Where are we going?"

" You'll see when we get there, just grab a coat okay"

" dear goodness" I muttered. I got up and grabbed a jacket that was on the floor. I couldn't really see but Addy looked like she was carrying a blanket. She led me down the ladder and out of the dorm.

" Seriously Adiline where the heck are you taking me?" I said.

"To a place", she said with a mysterious tone.

" You have to be a little more specific than ' a place" I said with air quotes that she couldn't even see.  She leaded me through the dimly lit sidewalks of the campus. Soon we came across this small open patch of grass. Addy laid the blanket down. I was very faintly able to see her motion for me to sit down. I did so and looked up at the sky. It was so clear with a beautiful full moon.

" Is this why you brought me out here?" I asked.

"mmhm", Addy said, mainly focused on the stars. " Constellations and space stuff really intrigue me, and it would  be rude not to bring you out to see this"

" well thanks" I said. Addy didn't even respond as she was busy admiring the stars. We both ended up laying down looking up eventually. Out of the corner of my eye I watched as Addy's chest went up and down as she breathed. I still was baffled about how she could push something such as that episode I had after my nightmare off, then again it had been a week. That was done and over with, and rightfully so. 

"Look you can see orion's belt" Adiline said

" wow" I responded, although my full attention wasn't on the stars, a good portion of was focused on taking quick glances at the beauty that lay beside me every few minues. She just woke up, how the hell did she look so good? Imagine waking up next to her. No. Were just friends. That's really weird. 

We continued looking at the beautiful open sky until we realized it had been almost an hour. The sun would be rising soon.

"Do you have any lectures today?" Adiline said, breaking  the silence that we sat in for a little while.

" Not until 3:15 i think" I responded.

" awesome, then we can stay to watch the sun rise"

" sounds good"

A little later, the sky was bursting with color. Pinks and blues and oranges and purples and crimsons filled the vast atmosphere. Addy and I watched in awe as It all unfolded in front of our eyes. Cotton candy clouds marched along while the first rays of light entered the world. Here comes the sun in all its beauty. 

" Wow" I heard Addy say.

"Wow indeed"

three o'clock came around and I had a lecture to go to soon. Addy and I had a designated nap time set to make up for the few hours of sleep that had been lost. After that I felt refreshed and got ready for my lecture.  I said goodbye to Adiline and was off. Much walking later and I got to the lecture hall.

" Hey Ruby", I heard someone say. I turned around to find Ollie sitting a few rows away from where I was. " Hello"

"Wanna come sit next to me?" He asked.
