Chapter 10

Emily's Pov

I wake up the next morning with a huge headache, so I get up and walk to the kitchen to get some Tylenol and water.

When I take the pain killers, someone wraps their arms around my waist. "You left me alone." Alx says sleepy. "I had a headache." I tell him.

"Well come back to bed." He says. "I'm not really tired, plus I need a shower." I tell him. He nods his head walking back to the room.

I walk in behind him to grab my clothes. I drop the clothes off in the bathroom and walk into the living room.

"Mrs. James, could you help me put plastic around my cast so I can shower?" I ask her. "Sure sweetheart." She tells me.

Once we get the plastic thingy on, I go to take a shower.

After my shower and getting dressed, I walk back into Alx's room to see if he's awake. Of course he's not, so I quietly walk out of the room and decide to go to Starbucks.

I walk downstairs and grab my keys to my car. "Mrs. James do you want anything from Starbucks?" I ask her. "Uh, yeh. Can you get me a Vanilla Latte?" She asks.

"Yeh. I'll be back in a bit." I tell her.

*Skip to Starbucks*

"Hello, welcome to Starbucks how may I help you?" The intercom asks. "Yes can I have two Tall Vanilla Lattes." I say. "Will that complete your order?" The intercom asks.

"Yes." I say. "That will be $5.20." It says. I pull around to the window and a really cute guy is at the window.

I hand him the money while he stares me down. He grabs the money ringing it up, then writes something on the receipt.

Once he hands me the receipt, the coffees are already at the window. I grab them and thank him then drive away.

When I get to the house, I hand Mrs. James her coffee then walk to the living room.

After I sit down, I pull out the receipt to see what that guy wrote on it. There's a phone number with his name under it.

After debating whether I should text him or not, I finally decide to text him.

"Hey it's the girl from Starbucks." I say.

"I was wondering if you were going to text me or not." He texts back.

"Well I did. My names Emily btw." I text.

"Haha I'm glad. I'm Caleb." He texts.

We text back and forth for like an hour. Before I know it, Alx is walking in.

"Hey babe." He says. "Hey." I say back to him kissing his cheek. I think Alx noticed me texting a lot because he asks, "Who are you texting?"

"A friend I made today." I tell him. "Can I know the name?" He asks. "Caleb." I say smiling.

"Why are you smiling because you said his name?" Alx says getting mad. "Because he's a good guy." I tell him. "I don't care if he's good or not. You have a crush on him." Alx yells.

"I do not." I say back. "Oh yeah, then why are you blushing?" Alx says getting upset. "I'm not blushing." I tell him. Alx gets mad again and throws a vase across the room.

"Bullshit! You're going to leave me for him, I know it." Alx says pacing. "Alx I'm not leaving you. I'm sorry that I made a friend that makes me as happy as you did." I tell him.

"Get out." Alx says. "W-What?" I say. "GET OUT!" Alx screams at me. I run outside and call Alyssa to come get me.

Once she shows up and starts driving, I literally break down in tears.
