Chapter 56

*The next week*

Alx's Pov

"Alright Dana should be here already waiting for us." I say when we get off the plane. "Alright. Could you tell me why we're here again?" Emily asks me. I see Alyssa glance at me and I say, "I wanted to see how mom was doing and let Dana get some rest."

She nods her head while readjusting Andrew on her hip. I grab the bags and we start looking around for Dana. "There she is." Alyssa says pointing over to the escalator. I see her so we start walking over to her.

"Hey everyone." Dana says hugging us. We all mumble a hey to her and walk outside. When we get outside she says, "Alx, your car is over there. Mom brought it here and she's probably waiting in it. Emily, I was wondering if you could ride with me, I really need some new clothes and I was wondering if you could come with me." Dana says.
"Yeh sure." Emily says. "I'll take your bags if you want." I say grabbing them. "Alright, I guess I'll see y'all later."

Emily says hugging Alyssa and kissing me. They walk away so me and Alyssa head to the car.

"Hey mom. How are you?" I ask hugging her. "Hey Alx. I'm good." She says. "That's good. We need to head home now and start getting things ready for the party." I say. "Alright let's go." She says.

We get in the car and head towards the house.

When we pull up, we all head inside to see Sarah Kathryn and a few of my other friends putting streamers everywhere. We all start helping trying to make this place look amazing for Emily.

Emily's Pov

Me and Dana pull up to the mall so I get out and grab Andrew from the backseat. We walk inside and head to almost every store that's in there.
Once we finish, I put my bags in the trunk along with Dana's then put Andrew in his car seat. She starts driving and she gets a text.

"Do you want to get some coffee or something?" She asks. "Sure if you want." I say. She pulls into Starbucks and I tell her what I want.

I hand her my money and she combines it with hers to pay for our coffees. Once we get the coffee. she starts driving home.

When we pull up at Mrs. Draughan's house, I see cars everywhere. I think to myself, 'They must be here to visit Alx.'
I grab Andrew from the back and look over to see Dana grab our bags from the trunk. "I could've got mine." I say.

"I don't mind." She says smiling at me.
I help her open the door and when we walk in people yell, "SURPRISE!" I'm pretty positive my face is shocked right now because not only did I have a surprise birthday party, I forgot it was my birthday.

Alx walks up to me smiling and says, "Happy birthday babe." "Did you plan all this?" I ask. "Yeh, Alyssa helped too though." He says.

"You're the best husband ever." I say hugging him. "I know." He says smiling. He grabs Andrew and says, "Go have fun with your friends. I'll watch Andrew."

I kiss him and walk over to all my friends and hug them. We sit at the table almost all night making jokes and just having a great time.

Around eleven everyone starts to leave. Once everyone's gone, Alx walks over and sits next to me so I lean my head onto his shoulder. "Andrew's asleep and in bed if you were wondering where he was." He says after a couple of minutes.

"I might be heading to bed soon too." I say. Alx stands up and picks me up then carries me to his room. When we get there, he throws some of his clothes at me considering his clothes were already unpacked and mine wasn't.
I change and Alx walks back in the room and lays down next to me.

"Thanks for throwing an amazing party Alx." I say yawning. "No problem baby girl. Now get some sleep." He says kissing my head and pulling me closer to him.

"I love you." He says. "I love you too." I say falling asleep.
