Chapter 63

*1 month later*

Emily's Pov

"Emily babe where are you?" Alx asks. "I'm in the bathroom." I say back. He walks in the bathroom and wraps his arms around me and says, "I'm taking you out tonight for our anniversary, so dress in something fancy." "Alx you know I don't like fancy places." I say looking at him.

"I know but I wanted tonight to be extra special so please wear something fancy." He says giving me puppy dog eyes. "Not the eyes." I groan trying to look away. I feel him staring at me so I look back at him to see his bottom lip poked out. "Fine." I say giving in.

He smiles and turns me around then lifts me onto the sink. I wrap my legs around his waist and he kisses me. "You know, I still can't believe we're having another child." He says laying his hand on my belly. "Well believe it." I say smiling.

"I'm hoping for this one to be a girl, that way I'll have a little girl to protect." He says smiling. "I can already tell if it's a girl, she's going to be a daddy's girl." I tell him laying my forehead on his chest. He laughs and we stay quiet for a couple of minutes until he says, "It's quiet not being at moms house."

"Maybe because we're not running around cooking or yelling at the kids." I say. "Yeh that's probably it, besides I like our apartment better." He says. "Do you have to go back to Los Angeles anytime soon?" I ask. "Not that I know of but if I do, I'll just tell my manager that I'm not leaving North Carolina because I'm not leaving you alone here." He says.

"I don't want you leaving me. It gets lonely when you're not here and sometimes I do worry that you won't come back home." I confess to him while starting to cry. "Hey, don't cry baby girl. Listen I'll never leave you, I know I always tell you this, but I mean it. The day we got married, no wait the day we met I promised not to leave you so please don't ever think that." He says wiping my tears away.

"I'm sorry." I say. "It's ok but please stop crying." He says. I nod my head and hear Andrew cry. "I got him, you go get ready for later on." Alx says kissing my head and walking out. I walk out of the bathroom and head to the bedroom. When I get in there, I head straight for the closet to pick out a cute dress.

'Alx better be glad I love him.' I say to myself while putting the dress on. I grab some flats and put them on then head to the bathroom to finish my hair and make up. "Babe my moms here to watch Andrew." Alx says walking in. When he sees me, his eyes get wide and his jaw drops.

He stares at me and walks closer to me and says, "You're so beautiful, I rather just stay here and stare at you instead of going out." I blush and he bends down to kiss me but I say, "Don't ruin the makeup." "You're going to make me wait to kiss you?" He asks pouting. "Yes because I know how you are. You'll kiss me then we'll start making out and then end up in the bedroom." I say grabbing his hand and walking out.

We walk downstairs and say goodbye to Mrs. Sandy. When we get out the door, Alx helps me get in the car and he gets in on his side. "You really are beautiful, I may have to stay really close to you tonight to keep the guys away from you." He says winking at me and grabbing my hand. I smile and look out the window until we arrive to wherever he's taking me.

Once we pull up to the restaurant, Alx helps me out and we walk in. "Reservation for Draughan." He tells the host who leads us to our table. The waiter walks over and we tell him what we want and when he leaves I ask Alx, "Why did you bring me to a fancy place for?" "I wanted to make you happy somehow for our anniversary, so I decided to bring you here and when we leave I'm taking you somewhere else." He says smiling.

I nod and the waiter brings our food over to us. The waiter stands there making sure we got everything we wanted, and when I look up to look at him, I notice him staring at my boobs. I kick Alx under the table and he looks and says, "You need to stop staring at my wife and do your damn job." The waiter turns red and runs away towards the back.

"Thanks for making him stop staring." I say putting my fork down. "No problem, I don't understand why he had to look though. Clearly he sees you with another man." Alx says getting mad. I reach over and grab his hand and say, "Calm down, we don't need something to start that the cops will finish." He calms down and the waiter walks back over again.

"H-Heres your check. Can I get you anything else?" He asks looking at me. "Yeh, I would like you to stop staring at my wife. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that." Alx says handing him the money. "Keep the change by the way." Alx says getting up and holding his hand out for me.

I grab it and we walk out together. "I swear that waiter was looking at you like he wanted to do you right then and there." He says looking down at me. "Even if he did, you would've stopped him." I say laughing. "True, now let's go to our next destination." Alx says helping me in his car.
