Chapter 64

Alx's Pov

"Where are we going babe?" Emily asks me. "To a place." I tell her. "Are you taking me to the river?" She asks. "Maybe Maybe not." I say. "You are." She says smiling. "Okay yes, I'm taking you to the river." I say. "But we're not swamp rats." She says laughing. I start laughing but can't come up with something to say.

"The river must be our special spot." Emily says when I pull on the road that heads to the river. "It is. We've done a lot there and I guess it became special." I say winking at her. She smiles and looks out the window. "Have you ever thought about when we get old what are we going to be doing and stuff like that?" She asks after a couple of minutes.

I pull up to the river and stop the car. "I have thought about it and I can see us sitting under a tree laughing at what we did when we were young. I can see us playing with our grandchildren and telling them our story and other kinds of stories making them laugh and then they run off to annoy each other or to play with their toy trucks or dolls." I say looking at her.

"I always get different thoughts about when we were old, but we still have a lot of time now to be young so let's go jump in that river." She says unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out. "Babe be careful, you're still pregnant and I don't want you falling." I say getting out.

We start taking our clothes off and I look over to see her little baby bump. I walk over to her and bend down to kiss her belly. "I can't wait for this little one to be here." I say to her kissing her. "Well we just have to wait another eight months (I think)." She says looking up at me.

I smile and pick her up and carry her into the water. "The waters cold." She says trying to get out of my arms. "No you're not leaving me in here alone." I say laughing. She starts squirming so I carefully toss her in the water. "Alx James Draughan!" She yells looking at me trying to hide her smile.

"Yes Emily Rose Draughan?" I say back. "If I wasn't pregnant, I would tackle you into this water." She says. I walk up to her and reach down and grab her legs then pick them up around my waist. "Ugh, you better be glad I love you." She says kissing me.

"I'm glad you love me." I say. We play around in the water some more until we get tired, then we sit on the grass waiting for our undergarments to dry. "What should we do for Andrew's birthday party?" She asks looking at me.

"Well we should buy him a lot of toys and stuff. Let him play in the cake and get a second cake for everybody else to eat I guess." I say. "Yeh, that sounds great. She says leaning on my shoulder. "I'm so glad that I can spend the rest of my life with you." I say pulling her closer to me.

"I'm glad too. I never imagined that we would be married and have children to be honest." She says. "I never imagined it either but now that we're doing it, I can see us having two more children and finding a house for us and having a great life." I tell her. She smiles and says, "I love you so much." "I love you too babe." I say kissing her. We get up to put our clothes on and then head back to our house.
