Chapter 31

Emily's Pov

When we wake up the next morning, Alx is complaining about his headache, so I hand him the Tylenol and water I brought in here last night.

"Emily, I don't feel good." He says. "Just lay done and you'll probably feel better." I tell him. He sighs and says, "You know I still feel bad for letting Gabbie in the apartment last night. It feels like everything is my fau-"

I cut him off by kissing him. He puts his hand around the back of my neck to deepen it. Alx grabs my legs and puts them around his waist so I'm straddling him.

He flips over and takes his shirt off, but his phone starts ringing before we can go further. He sighs but answers it anyway.

*Skip phone call*

"That was Curtis, he asked to come over here to apologize to us." Alx says. "Oh okay." I say.

After a couple minutes there's a knock on the door. Alx goes to answer it while I walk to the couch.

Curtis walks in and immediately starts apologizing for what he did. I forgave and so did Alx.

Curtis stays for about an hour, then tells us he has to go. After he leaves, Alx tells me, "I'm taking you out tonight so go get ready. Wear something nice and casual."

I nod and get up to head to the room.

*Skip all this because I'm terrible with dressing up*

After I finish getting ready, I walk out the room to find Alx sitting on the couch. He looks up at me and smiles.

"You ready?" He asks. "Yeh." I tell him. He grabs my hand and we walk out of the apartment to his car.

"You look beautiful by the way." He says. "Thanks. So do you." I say. He drives for a little while until we reach a dirt road. "Here put this on." He says handing me a blindfold.

I look at him confused and he says, "I'm not going to do nothing it's a surprise." I hesitantly put it on and feel the car start moving again.

The car stops and Alx gets out. My door opens and I feel Alx grabbing my hand to help me out.

Alx leads me somewhere until I feel him taking the blindfold off. When he does, I see a picnic set up in the middle of a bunch of trees.

I hug Alx and say, "It's beautiful." "Like you." He says. "You're so cheesy." I say. We walk over to the picnic and sit down.

*Skip eating.*

When we finish eating, Alx says, "Close your eyes, there's one more surprise." I close my eyes until I hear him say to open them.

When I open my eyes, he's on one knee with a ring in his hands.

"Emily, I know we haven't dated long, but ever since we were teenagers I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I was always scared of asking you out because I thought you would turn me down, but now that we're dating, I'm not really scared of asking you certain things now. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, will you marry me?" He says getting scared.

I start crying and say, "Yes. A million times yes." He smiles and puts the ring on my finger. Alx picks me up and kisses me.

"I love you so much." He says. "I love you too." I tell him. He takes a picture of my hand on top of his and posts it on Instagram and Twitter saying, 'She said yes!'

I laugh and kiss him again. After a while, I ask, "Who set the picnic up?" "I had a friend do it for me." He says.

We pack up the stuff and walk back to the car. While in the car, I keep on looking at the ring. 'I'm so lucky.' I say to myself.
