Moving in: 2

A couple months after Doug and Evie had agreed to move in together, Doug finally got the house ready. It wasnt a house... more like... a building. It did cost a bomb, but he was actually quite rich from the jewels in his percentage of the dwarf mine and he also got money from Evie's 4 Hearts, which was now a fully fledged fashion brand. The most expensive and famous clothing in the whole of USA ( United States Of Auradon ) would come from Evie's 4 Hearts. Needless to say, Doug and Evie were both celebrities, and loaded.

Excitedly, he made his was over to Mal and Evie's apartment. Well, technically, Evie's apartment, since Mal had moved out a few weeks ago.

"Ding Dong!" The standard doorbell rang and Evie hurried over to the door and it flung open to reveal Doug.

Evie smiled and pulled her boyfriend in for a hug before saying, "Ready for our date?"

Doug nodded eagerly. "It isnt really a date though... i mean, we're not going to our usual spot. I want to show you something."

Evie raised an eyebrow but decided not to say anything as Doug led her out the door.

"So, where are we going?" Evie demanded as Doug led her into his red Lamborghini.

"Somewhere, Babe"

Evie pouted and Doug laughed.

After a few minutes of speeding, Doug stopped at the front of a very prestigious looking building. It was as tall as a skyscraper and was brand new. Evie had seen this in construction and heard that hundreds of construction workers were hired by the owner to build it faster but nobody else knew anything about it.

"Why are we stopping here?" Evie enquired as Doug helped her out of the car.

With a snap of the fingers, a group of men wearing black tuxedos and black shades came and formed two straight lines, creating a lane for the couple into the front doors of the building. Another man got into the Lamborghini and drove it away.

Evie's jaws fell to the ground, utterly amazed. "Where's this, Doug?"

Doug only smiled mysteriously and grabbed her hand, pulling her into the building.

Inside, there was a grand looking lobby with gold chandeliers, marble flooring and doormen. There were a few lifts at the left and another private lift at the right.

"This, Evie," Doug finally spoke, "Is our new house."

Evie squealed and pulled her boyfriend into a bone crushing bear hug. It was beautiful! Way better than any castle or palace she could ever dream of!

"Thank you, Doug! Any word would be an understatement of how much i love it!"

Doug smiled and hugged his girlfriend back. He was hoping that she would love it.

After that, Doug showed an awestruck Evie, who was silent the whole tour, around the building.

They first entered the lifts at the left and went to each floor. The first 5 floors were full of women's apparel labeled with the words Evie's 4 Hearts and the next 5 were full of girl clothing. ( They were public shops ) The 5 afterwards were offices for designers and manufacturers for the company, and the place needed keys, which the employees would all be equipped with, to be entered, of course, and the 17th level was a huge private office for Evie and Doug, where Doug would do his accounting and Evie would handmake her designs specially for princesses.

Then, down they went to the lobby again and took the right lift, which needed keys to be used, and it had all the same levels except that there were 2 extra levels. The penthouse, where Evie and Doug would reside, and a hall to a separated smaller building full of cars.

The penthouse was as grand as Mal and Ben's castle, actually, the whole building was, and there were luxurious furniture from the best furniture shops in the land. There was a master bedroom for Doug and Evie, a living room, kitchen, guest room, 4 extra rooms, a balcony, a music room, dance room and many toilets. There was even a cinema room.

Evie was speechless and a huge smile was etched on her face, so Doug, to his delight, knew that she liked it.

After the shock settled down, Evie and Doug sent for the movers to move Evie's boxes which she had packed earlier from her old apartment to the new house.

The apartment was for Dizzy, which Evie had requested.

"I cant believe you would do all this for me, Doug." Evie said after the move was complete that night after dinner. "Where did you get all the money?"

"You seem to forget the rank of your fashion company and that i have a diamond mine."

Evie grinned and pulled her beloved boyfriend into a kiss and Doug picked her up while Evie wrapped her legs around him and they both got to the master bedroom...
