Doug groaned as his girlfriend flung open the blankets and rushing to the toilet, puking... again.
Sighing, he forced himself out of bed and into the toilet while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
Leaning against the toilet was his beautiful girlfriend, who was in her second trimester of pregnancy. To be exact, her 4th month. She was feeling happy most of the time, though she did feel depressed a few times, thinking she was clumsy. The strange cravings, to Doug's relief, had yet to kick in, though Doug only knew it was a matter of time. She had a slight bump which she was a bit conscious about, but Doug always said she looked sexy with in. The bump was easy enough to cover up though.
Doug helped Evie hold up her hair as she vomited her guts out. When she was done, she brushed her teeth and leaned back against the wall, utterly fatigued and pale.
"This baby is trying to kill me." She groaned and Doug laughed.
"She's not even born yet." He pointed out and Evie pouted.
"You okay?" Doug asked, concerned.
Evie nodded weakly and smiled, before Doug led her back to bed, knowing she needed her sleep.
Today was the day they would tell their friends about Evie's pregnancy, and they were both nervous.
After a few more hours of sleep, both Doug and Evie woke up and got ready for the day. Evie sat at the vanity after getting on her royal blue dress while Doug stood by the full body mirror, adjusting his tie.
Evie laughed at Doug who was struggling as she finished her makeup with a touch of red lipstick. Adjusting her tiara sightly, she walked over to Doug and helped him with his tie.
When she was done, she gave Doug a quick kiss before asking, "Can you see it?"
"See what?" Doug asked after returning her kiss.
"My bump."
Doug laughed and pulled Evie in for a hug. "No, but its okay if its noticeable. You would look great either way."
Evie didnt look convinced but didnt probe further.
Doug grabbed Evie's hand and led her out of the room, out of the penthouse and into the lift to the carpark.
"Which car?" He asked, beckoning to the carpark full of designer cars.
After contemplation, the couple got into the red Ferrari, driving to the fancy restaurant where they were going to meet their friends.
