Baby Shower: 1

Evie woke up on a bright Sunday morning feeling unusually cheerful. The morning sickness was long gone and there were no more strange cravings or any unkind pregnancy symptoms. All was well for the 32 week pregnant woman.

Evie glanced over at Doug after stretching. He was still snoring away on his side of the bed. Evie smiled and snuggled close to his body to warm hers up, while rubbing her baby bump, just enjoying the silence.

Not long after, Doug's eyes fluttered open and he smiled when he saw his girlfriend snuggle close to him and put an arm around her body, his hand on her baby bump.

"Morning..." Evie muttered, sensing his movement and guessing correctly that he was awake.

"Morning, Princess." Doug answered and gave her a peck on the cheek.

Evie scrunched up her nose and put her hand on his mouth. "You have bad morning breath, Doug."

Doug chuckled and purposely opened his mouth, letting the stench escape and teasing Evie.

"Doug!!!" Evie yelled playfully, hitting his arm and he grinned goofily.

"Okay, Princess, ill go brush."

Evie stuck a tongue out and gave his a peck as he left the bed, leaving her to lie there and cover herself with the duvets.

Once Doug got out of the bathroom, he went straight back to cuddling with Evie.

Evie shifted, feeling his presence and she got up close to him, putting her face in the crook of his neck.

"Doug..."

"Hmm?"

"What shall we do today?"

"Dunno... We can ask the guys if they're free."

"Nah..." Evie muttered, "Mal and Ben are off at Ariel's Cove settling something about mermaid uprising. Lonnie and Jay are busy with their new arrival and even Jane and Carlos are busy doing something that they refused to tell me."

Doug raised an eyebrow. "How do you know?"

"I have my ways."

"Okay..." Doug said thoughtfully. "We can go hang with Audrey and Chad."

Evie stuck her tongue out. Even though Chad and Audrey, who were now married, had apologised to the VKs and they were quite close nowadays, Evie hadnt exactly forgiven them for the hurtful words so many years ago.... lets just say... she held grudges.

"Didnt Chad and Audrey have a baby last week? It was all over the news... how can you not remember? The christening of Baby Princess Aubrey?"

"Oh yea..." Doug replied. "Then what?"

"I dont know. Lazy Sunday?"

Before Doug could reply, his phone on the bedside table rang.

"Who is it?" Evie asked as Doug picked up his phone.

"Jane." He replied and took the call before putting it on speaker for Evie.

"Hi..." Doug said and Jane on the other line greeted him too.

"Doug! Can you and Evie come over to the Auradon Royal Castle?"

Doug looked at Evie and she nodded. "Sure!" He replied, "When?"

"Now."

"But why-" Doug started but Jane had already hung up.

Doug looked at Evie and she shrugged.

"Lets go then." She said and got out of bed, walking to the bathroom.
