"Nonononono..." Evie cried as she threw clothes out of her closet frantically.

"What's wrong?" Doug, who was sitting on the bed, asked as a piece of clothing necessitated his duck and hit the bedhead behind him.

"Your child is growing, Doug." Evie complained, and turned sideways so Doug could see the now visible bump.

Evie was now 24 weeks pregnant her abdomen was already quite swollen. The baby was small and so was she, but that didnt stop people from being able to see that she was carrying... extra cargo. Now, even the media knew when the couple didnt even announce it.

"Isnt that a good thing?" Doug asked, teasing her.

Evie pouted and walked over to the edge of the bed, sitting down.

"Yea, and i love that our princess is growing but..." she said.

Doug sighed and crawled over from his side of the bed to Evie and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"Evie, you look beautiful, bump or no bump. Besides, give our little princess a break. She hasnt been giving us trouble. We dont go to ultrasounds that much because she's healthy, she didnt give you that round ligament pain in your abdomen like Lonnie's been complaining about, there's no acid reflux, no morning sickness..."

"I get it." Evie said, slightly cross due to the mood swings.

Doug smiled and got out of bed, walking to the closet. Picking up a dress, he presented it to Evie. "How bout this?"

Evie scanned the dress with narrowed eyes. It was a midnight blue, waistless, bubble dress that ran until slightly above her knee and there were sparkly sequins embroidered on every inch of the dress. It wouldnt help her show off her curves, but it did hide the baby bump...

"Oh Doug!" She exclaimed, jumping off the bed and giving her boyfriend a short kiss. "Its great."

Doug smiled, happy to be of help.

As Evie changed, Doug got into casual wear and decided that they would go shopping for maternity clothes. Evie had made some, but he preferred to let her rest.
