A small commotion near the front courtyard caught the attention of the core four and their respective partners, as a group of 7 famous dwarves stormed towards the gazebo where the core four were seated, causing Jay, Ben, Carlos and especially Doug to wrap arms protectively around their partners while Mal, Lonnie and Jane, who was holding Ian for Mal, tightened their grips on the babies.

Evie put her hand on her stomach subconsciously as Doug held her close.

Everyone seemed to be in a shocked stupor, including the other guests, whose gazes fell on the gazebo.

Nobody moved. Until Ben was the first to speak.

"What are you doing here? As King, i command you to leave." He demanded authoritatively, making Mal swell with pride.

Brainy, as one of the unofficial spokespeople of the dwarves, spoke first. "We... have come... to... a-apologise."

Humiliation was clear in his tone, though it was soft and genuine.

Ben cleared his throat, obviously bothered by the serenity Doc's voice carried. "Well- Doug- he may not-"

This time, Doug stood up, determination a twinkle in his pupils, as he let go of Evie's trembling hand. This baby shower was not to be ruined by his ignorant family.

"Dad. Uncles. Ive said before, im not forgiving you. Not after how much you've hurt Evie, the love of my life. So if you dont want to be thrown in the dungeons or humiliated even further with guard escorting you out of the castle, i suggest you scram."

Doug's tone was so authoritative and held such determination that even Grumpy's forever-furrowed eyebrows flickered, fear eminent in his wrinkled countenance. Even the VKs and their companions were surprised. Especially Evie, who had started to tear up again, touched that Doug, soft spoken, afraid of confrontation Doug, stood up for her, the love of his life.

Ben grinned and pat Doug back as Jay and Carlos stood up, following suit, showing their support. Many of the younger, defiant guests started to show their support by glaring fiercely at the dwarves while the older generation, including Snow White, Cinderella and Belle, looked sympathetic, but didnt step up to help, letting the younger generations solve their own problem.

Doc took a good look at his tarnished reputation, before sighing, and turning around to leave as the others followed suit. All except Dopey.

"Hey, Son." He sighed. He was a man of few words, and thus that shocked many, who barely heard his voice, or havent heard it at all. "It was wrong of us to do that. We're really sorry. So im not leaving before i get to give a proper apology to my son's girlfriend, and, of course, my grandchild. So im staying. Im standing my ground. No. I will definitely not leave."

Doug's expression shifted entirely, his frown and furrowed eyebrows morphing into a look of pity and sorrow, then forgiving. "And im sorry for not telling you or hearing you out. I know about the emotional trauma you all faced after the whole Evil Queen episode. But Evie is different, and i know that you know that now. Thank you. But- i dont forgive you."
