Evie was now 34 weeks and she wanted out. All she could do was lie on the bed with her phone, bearing Doug's overprotectiveness.

He wouldnt let her get her own breakfast, shower by herself, or even let her stand. She hated it. She was pregnant, not paralysed.

Evie sighed as she shifted herself on the bed, trying to find a comfortable spot to rest. She had been having pains since the previous night, but she brushed it off. After all, it was usually Braxton Hicks, just maybe, a little more frequent.

Doug had just gotten back from the office, and started babying her again, which, honestly, no matter how much she loved her husband, was starting to get really irritating.

When it came to night, she couldnt take it anymore. As he snored through his slumber, she lay in bed, uncomfortable and unable to find a good spot, so she looked out of the window.

A shooting star dashed past as Evie whispered to her child. "Please come out soon so i can meet you, my baby princess."

Almost immediately, she had felt a gush of water spread down from under her legs and onto the pastel blue duvet. She grinned, half delighted, half apprehensive.

The time had come, the time she'd wished for the most recently, so she turned on the lights, hitting Doug with the pillow like an excited child would on his birthday.

"What?" Doug asked, concern lacing his tone.

"Doug, its time."

-

Doug had rushed Evie to the hospital, dashing around the house like a maniac to find the hospital bag, then rampaging down the deserted roads in the midnight, as the disk known as the moon shined brightly in its glory.

Evie had sat in the car patiently, trying to calmly get through the contractions which were getting stronger by the minute.

Despite her protests, Doug had forced out an available suite room for her and a doctor was assigned there in no time.

The room was beautiful, draped in pastel yellow with a white crib near the bed and all the other equipments. Evie had sat with her fashion magazine, flipping through ideas for her newest line as Doug phoned their friends.

A frantic text was sent to the group chat, "ITS TIME," and Evie had to refrain herself from wetting the bed at Doug's panic.

She hardly felt any pain until she was informed that she was 8 metres dilated.

Mal, Ben, their kids, Lonnie, Jay, Jackson, Jane, Carlos were the first in the waiting room while Snow White, the Dwarves, their wives and children, all piled into the room after. Even Chad, Audrey and Aubrey had managed to make it.

After 3 hours, Evie had started to push, squeezing Doug's already purple hand with her newly polished fingernails digging into his skin mercilessly. He, however, had learnt from Jay's mistake not to complain or suffer getting a whooping from your wife later.

At last, the pressure flooded from below her legs as Evie collapsed into the soft pillows, smiling and sweating profusely as a shrill cry invaded the room.

Their friends had all gathered outside at the sound in anticipation while Doug yelled in delight, pumping his hands up in the air dramatically, making Evie giggle.

The little girl was beautiful, with tuffs of wavy blue hair and Doug's unique shade of hazel eyes. She had inherited the smile that could make even Captain Hook stick his head under Tick Tock's mouth to see it from her mother, yet she looked like her father in a different way. She was beyond beautiful, bringing tears to both parents' eyes.

Mal, Jay and Carlos had been allowed in first, followed by the Dwarf Family and then the rest, all cooing at the newborn.

Baby Adrian had reached out to the newborn in her mother's arms while Jay joked about their future wedding, and even Jackson and Ariana stayed quiet in awe.

Dopey had reached out to Doug, earning everyone's attention, as he rarely spoke. "Good
Job son, im proud of you. Go be a good dad."

Doug was grinning the whole day through. And alas, the question had come up.

Audrey had asked, while everyone nodded in response. "What's her name?"

Doug and Evie looked at their beautiful daughter in their arms, pupils shining brightly with tears of joy. After 9 months and a lot of hardship, they had made it.

So in together, they shared a glance and stated in plain unison. "Welcome to the world, Princess Quinsel Everlyn Douglas."
