"How would you like to be Princess Evie?" Snow asked, and Evie's eyes widened.

"I- im not... a princess. My mother's reign as queen was not recorded into history. I could never think of being one."

Snow shook her head. "Your my sister, Evie. I dont care if Ella insists on using the term Stepsister. I love you, no matter how different Mom treated us, ill love you because you are my sister. You deserve to be a princess as much as i do."

Evie smiled gratefully and excitedly but calmed herself down. She could never ask for a royal title.

Snow seemed to be reading her mind.

"Evie. You do have the right for a title. Your mom was actually a great queen. Granted, her methods of punishment were gory and brutal, but it injected fear into the criminals and the crime rate got incredibly low. Our country was at its peak when she ruled and she took over many lands. A few of the lands, she handed to her brother, who passed away later on so nobody came to reclaim it. By right, the lands are still under your family's name, and though my husband and I rule the lands, you are still heir to the land, should you reclaim it. So that is a way to fight for your title in court. Granted, you would be only 3rd in line, after my sons, but its something."

Evie looked thoughtful, she had always wanted to be a princess, and was thoroughly disappointed when Audrey had pointed out that she wasnt one.

Snow knew her answer. "So its settled. Ill be fighting for your title in court. You dont have to come, but you can if you want. Ill text you the dates."

Just as Evie opened her mouth to protest, Snow put her finger to Evie's perfectly painted lips.

"Your welcome." Snow said, hugging Evie.

Evie tensed up at first, but hugged back after.

Snow grinned. "Sisters?"

Evie nodded. "Sisters."

Then, they continued telling each other jokes about Evil Queen, falling into fits of laughter each time.

Until noon, Doug came home and walked into Evie's office after is shower to find Aunt Snow and his beloved girlfriend engulfed in laughter.

"Woah." He said. "What'd i miss?"

Evie grinned and stood up to give him a hug before he gave his Aunt a hug too.

"Oh Doug!" Snow said after they exchanged greetings. "I must go now, i have a tea session with Aurora, but Evie's a great girl, ill talk to your dad and uncles."

After that, she hugged Evie goodbye and went on her way.

Evie filled Doug in on what happened.

"I was so scared," she rambled. "I thought she was gonna hate me..."

That night, Evie took out that envelope that Snow gave her. Inside was a handwritten note from Snow, with words of encouragement and many Xs and Os.

Dearest Sister,

I hope we can really become as close sisters one day. Ill try to get you your title, and in exchange, you can help me tell Mom i still love her, can you? Good luck with your baby, Denise told me.

Evie smiled, hugging the letter close to her chest. She then looked into the envelope and easily found $10000!

Happy to be reunited with her sister, she put the envelope by her bedside before cuddling the snoring Doug beside her, smiling into the depths of slumber.
