Doug checked his watch. Evie was supposed to be here an hour before, what impression would that leave his guest? He sighed and rubbed his temple before excusing himself from Sarah to call Evie, only to get declined a grand total of 13 times.
Worry started to sink in as he started thinking of everything that could have happened. She couldve just fell asleep, or maybe she got kidnapped by Uma and her crew? Maybe shes-
Doug had unknowingly started to hyperventilate as Sarah placed a hand on his shoulder. "Go home. Find her." She instructed reassuringly before leaving the canteen.
Doug took off.

Upon reaching home, Doug immediately ran into a frantic Dizzy at the lobby, obstructing his way into the only lift leading to the penthouse.
"What, Dizzy? Im kind of in a hurry." He replied, trying to sound as gentle or kind as possible though inside his brain was in a frenzy, going berserk.
"Lemme guess, you're tryna find where Evie is, right?" Dizzy challenged, quirking an eyebrow.
Doug immediately stopped trying to find an escape, all focus on the not-so-little-anymore girl in front of him. "Yes...?"
Dizzy eyebrow went up higher. "Well i dont know what you did to her, and if it was something really bad im gonna kill you, but you look genuinely worried, so ill tell you. Shes in the room. Crying her eyes out. Beware."
Doug's eyes went wide, could she have-
Dizzy had pushed him into the elevator, waving goodbye and mouthing, "Good luck."
Doug nodded in appreciation before striking the button straight to their penthouse and rushing toward the room.
There, he had found his beloved wife passed out on the bed, tear stains on the pillows, duvet and her rosy pink cheeks.
"Eve, what's wrong?" He whispered in confusion as she started to stir.
Her eyes fluttered open before going wide and she sat up, hitting him with a pillow nearby.
"What- Stop- Evie-Why are you,"
Evie paused, before starting to hit him more violently and brutally. "Because you cheated on me, that's why! When im freaking pregnant with your baby! Now go away!"
Doug caught the pillow Evie was hitting him with and threw it across the room. "Wait what? When?"
Evie huffed, crossing her arms against her belly. "You should know wouldnt you? This morning in the canteen. Why did you call me there when you were already eating with your mistress?"
Doug sighed in relief, grinning, sending Evie into confusion. "What? You saw that? Me and Sarah?"
"Sarah? That's her name? What's wrong, Doug. Dont play with me." Evie replied, frowning as Doug started to stifle his laughing.
"She... she... she's your birthing instructor! The one you've always wanted!"
Evie paused, as tears started to accumulate in her eyes. "Really? Are you serious? Im so sorry Doug, i shouldve known. I shouldve trusted you. Im sorry, im so-"
Doug grinned as he crawled into bed with her, pulling her into his warm embrace. "I know, i know. Its fine."
"Now ive totally embarrassed myself in front of Sarah havent i."
"Eh, just a little bit." Doug shrugged nonchalantly, teasing her as she groaned.
"Ahhh," She furrowed her eyes together as she fell back onto the bed, Doug laughing at her.
