There were many ways to start off your day.

For instance, the baker had decided to go with his tray, like always, while Madame Dupont from across the street had decided on yelling for her young niece to wake up before peeking over the fences, trying to gather more gossip for tea when Madame Mose arrived. Mrs Cooper could be seen with her septuplets, frantically looking for poor Henry who had gone lost, while Mr Baren had decided on giving his car a make over.

Mal, Queen Of Auradon, had taken to assist her husband in paperwork, which technically meant trying to lure him out to feed the children, while Jay, second in line to Mulan's Kingdom had begun it with yelling at the top of his lungs for his favourite Tourney team to win on the telly.

Evie Grimhilde, soon to be Douglas, however, had not even begun the day. The spot beside her in the bed was long cold, displaying the absence of her lovey husband Doug.

A plate of toast and a coaster of prenatal vitamins sat on the table patiently, as he set off to get paint. For what, you may ask?

Evie had started to get rather pushy and panicky as each day passed, but it wasnt her fault, of course. She was so anxious and stressed about being a good mother, building the nursery, naming the baby and so on, explaining Doug's attempt to soothe her, bu finally completing the nursery.

The layout was planned, the furniture had been ordered in and stacked against each other in the nursery room, all that was needed was paint.

Of course, Doug couldnt do it by himself, or when Evie was around anyway, so he had enlisted the help of their friends, of course. He had managed to coerce Mal, Lonnie and Jane to take her and their babies out to the mall, while Ben, Jay and Carlos had been invited to help with the painting. He could have gotten a few servants to help to, but what's the fun in that?

Noon soon rolled in and Doug whistled as he strolled into his house, placing the paint cans on the table before he caught sight of a note Evie had left him in the periphery of his pupils.

Doug, Mal and the others dragged me to the mall as soon as i woke up, and idk why coz its so not like them, especially Mal, but i like the mall so ive gone. See you l8r!

Doug chuckled at it before setting it down, waiting patiently for the others to arrive. Ben, Carlos and Jay arrived one by one and they had started the production, being rather experienced from helping each other paint their childrens' nurseries.

They laughed as they joked and painted heartily, until the whole room was a nice baby pink. They had managed to assemble the deluxe white wooden crib that fit snugly into a corner, with a white wooden rocking chair next to it, with pink pillows. There were bookshelves of baby books standing next to closets of hand-made and store-bought baby clothes, and everything else a baby could possibly need.

At 6, they were finally done and headed home while Evie had just come back. Doug grinned, knowing this would keep Evie's nerves down a tad bit as he prepared to present the surprise.
