The fun's just started

"Well it's too early to leave and too late to stay so yeah I guess we'll have to" Beth says as she grabs out some blankets.

"You guys can sleep up in my room? It's much comfier then a beer stained carpet," I say as they agree, Conner helps me up giving me a piggy back because I'm a child as he helps me to the bed.

"Ronny you can sleep in my bed if you want" I say to him as he smiles at me hugging me, I kiss his head as he was the right height for me to do so as Beth grabs out the mattresses for us three to flail ourselves on.

"Night guys" I say as Beth was already fast asleep and half off of the mattress as Conner was sleeping with his head on my stomach while I played with his hair as we spoke to each other softly making sure not to wake the others up.

"Do you think that when we get back to school my leg will be like, dead?" I say making him smile and laugh a little.

"No because that's impossible, and considering the fact that you've only torn shit in it, you won't be needing to amputate it either" he says as I smile as him moving my head a little as I look up at the roof.

"You're thinking about it again aren't you?" he says to me, I sigh loud enough for him to understand that I am but I smile sadly as little as he looks up at me.

"Hey, you'll be fine besides Beast is now your protector and I swear your spirit animal too no matter how terrifying he is he'd never hurt you"

"I know it's just, he looks like the one that attacked them all those years ago"

"I know, and hey, I don't care how big he gets I'll kill him if he hurts you okay?" he says to me making me smile and laugh a little.

"Thanks Parker" I say with a slight sigh, he grabs my hand and kisses it before putting his head back on my stomach and falling asleep.

"Night,"

"Night" I say back as I to start to drift off.

"Morning dad" I say as I walk into the kitchen and lean against anything as I hop around on one leg, he turns to me holding two tablets in his hand as he groans.

"Hey sweet heart" he says to me as he kisses my forehead, he asks about my ankle as I tell him not to worry about it, "Can I have pancakes sweetie?" he says to me as he drops his head onto the counter and groans again making me laugh.

"Sure, I'll make them your special ones" I say to him as I hop towards the fridge – literally – I start to brew some coffee and grab out all the ingredients for my pancakes, the smell of the batter is what wakes up the others as they all came to sit down, Beth and I where making a mess in the kitchen after I feed dad as we all speak about today, dad left to weep up the stairs as we can hear him through the thin walls.

"Well it is the afternoon, and Beast should be making his entrance soon enough so . . ." Conner says as we hear the roaring howl rip through the house accompanied by the sound of thunderous paws hitting the ground as we walk outside, Conner holding me around the waist as Beth and Ronny stand behind us, I smile as Beast walks up to me I hug him tightly as Conner takes a couple of steps back, Beast's paws stretch out as he stands on his hind legs and stretches up casting a shadow onto all of us, he sniffs the air and growls lowly making Conner and Ronny shrivel back a little as Beth and I look at them.

"You two okay?" I ask them as I put a hand on Conner, he retracts and looks up to Beast as he had his eyes pinned through him.

"Y-Yeah, Beast just makes me . . . nervous" Conner says with a heavy breath in as he turns to his brother as he cowers behind Beth.

"Beast? You okay?" I ask my creature as he drops down and wraps one of his hairy, strong arms around me, as he doesn't stop looking at Conner.

"You're okay you dork," I say to him as I kiss his cheek, he growls again when Conner tries to walk forward.

"You should head off to your mum, you'll be late" Conner says to me, I agree with him as Beast puts me on his back, I grab a handful of his mane as he turns to head back inside and leaves the others standing there. Every stride Beast would take made my hips move with his shoulder blades as he bolts through the woods as he suddenly stops and lifts his head up as he looks around; the sound of howls caught our attention.

"What is it?" I ask him as he growls for me to stop talking; I shut up instantly as he sniffs the air he pulls his ears back to his skull and stares at a bunch of tree lines to the west as he gets on his hind legs making me slide off of his back.

"Beast?" I say as I move to his side, he puts a hand out in front as his claws where out, he stands in front of me as the howls get louder, then it hits me like a tone of bricks as we had just walked straight into someone else's territory.

"We have to go Beast" I say as I grab a handful of hair on his arm forcing him to look at me, he gives me the side eye and I tilt my head up high to look at him, "Now!" I say to him making him growl as he lifts me onto his back once more, and paces himself so he could keep an eye out and get me out of here at the same time.

We reached the fence as he jumps over it with ease his claw marks scratching the wooden boards a little but he didn't care as he lands on the other side of the cemetery, he walks slowly to the grave as I jump down off of his back, he helps me sit down in front of her grave as I sit and smile, Beast walks off to somewhere else as he smells around the graveyard.

"Hey mum, how've you been?" I say to the grave, she was silent as always now, Beast growls as he comes over with a bunch of flowers in his mouth, he puts them on the grave as he lies down next to me, the towering creature purred like a kitten as we sat here.
