Drop everything and run

It's a cold night as I curl up to Conner's side. His body heat warms me up as I trance patterns on his chest thinking about what to do. This is a war that's going on without the human species knowing, and what'll happen if people find out about it too, will they accept it or will it just cause chaos.

"You're over thinking again" he says to me with his eyes still closed, I smile and close my eyes as he kisses the top of my head.

"Sorry" I say to him making him laugh a little.

"Don't be sorry, you're going to be fine okay?"

"But what if we don't make it out o this fight? What'll happen to Gemini?" I ask him, he wraps both arms around me and rolls over kissing me.

"She'll be fine, kids are tough" he reassures me as I wrap my arms around his and run my hands through his hair, kissing his cheek.

"I know, just don't want her to grow up in a war," I say as he smiles against my neck placing little kisses making me laugh.

"Soon enough we'll have a lot of time to ourselves," he says to me as I kiss his cheek feeling his arms tighten around me.

"Yep and we will be adults" I say to him as he rolls back over taking me with him, we fall asleep again and wake up to another morning of he usual. I walk down the stairs and pack my bag for school as Conner walks down, he kisses my head and explains that he's heading off to his pack for a while I smile sad but he tells me not to worry.

Beth honks her horn outside and I walk out kissing Conner on the cheek as he shifts in the backyard running towards his pack territory.

"No Conner?" she says as I shake my head, she smiles and hands me a drink.

"Thank god! Now I can bitch to you about him!"

"Hey I'm still here!" Ronny says as we turn around to face.

"Shh! Don't tell him!" I say to him making him smile and laugh a little as he sips on his drink, "So Conner is going off to his pack territory for a while so that means that we have a lot of dealing with the groups ourselves" I say to them as I sip on my coffee.

"Yep and hey Justin and I are going to spend some time with Emma, so we'll probably be around a little" Beth says, Emma is the nurse back when she helped me in the hospital. I walk beside Beth as we head into the little meeting room, I see Griffen talking to Sam and I walk over to them hugging both of them tightly.

"How's Gem? Is she okay?" I ask Griffen as he smiles widely and puts his hands over his heart.

"Girl she's so adorable! I want one! Hell I might even steal her from you" he jokes making me smile and laugh.

"I can't thank you enough Griff, this means a lot to me"

"It's all okay sweetheart, my parent's love her," he says as he shows me photos of Gemini with Griffen.

"Also she wanted me to give this to you," he says as he passes me a photo of me, Conner and her all holding hands with the words 'family – mummy, daddy and me' I smile and hug him, I put the photo in my bag and sit down next to Justin and Beth.

"So where are we up to in demon's?"

"Well I'm teaching Beth on how to kill one" he says to me I widen my eyes and Beth smiles.

"Yep, also we're working on a trapping spell, for the demons" she says to me I nod my head and walk around talking to the others, everyone is fine from what I can tell. I text Conner telling him that everything is okay and he say that he may be a while at the Pack, I tell him not to rush and he sends back a sad face.

The bell rings and we all head off to class, Beth and I sit in Chemistry together discussing about what to do, everyone is training for the fight and she says that she's created a kind of signal that will beep every time a demon comes out of Hell.

"Cool" I say as she hands it to me, she looks back at her work and continues on the multiple choice questions that lay on the tables in front of us. I groan to myself as I sit here and look at them, the buzzing from my phone in my pocket moves my focus away from the paper as I look at who it is.
