The Flashbacks

"He couldn't be" I say as I sit up on the edge of the bed looking around the room once more, I notice a small book on the edge of a set of draws as I stand up to go and hobble over to it, once I reach it I notice that it was the little notepad I got from my dad when I was eight.

"I thought I lost you" I say to it as it opens up to me telling me all of it's secrets I giggle a little when I saw the first entry to me seeing beast for the first time.

'HE WAS THE SIZE OF A GIANT BEAR! HIS BLACK FUR AND HIS BLUE EYES!' I laugh to myself as I sit down on the floor propping my back up against the draws as I flick through it more, photos and scribbles all over the pages as I flip through landing on a passage with Conner.

'We where drunk – well Conner was at least – I was walking back with him to the house when he trips and falls flat on his face, at first - like any other great and close friend would – I laugh and take pictures, but then I help him up and get him into the house, once we where up the stairs and in my room I literally throw him down onto my bed (though he was a little too big for it) and help him get ready for 'sleepy time' as he'd call it.' I smile as I remember the moment of it; I close my eyes thinking back to that memory.

'Kiss me' he said, I was confused and look at him, the sweat from the drunken teens around us along with the screaming music wasn't any help as I look at him.

'What!?' I bellow at him he smiles and grabs my cheeks at he presses his lips to mine, I was shocked at first but then I fell into it a little, we part and I look up at him as he has a proud look on his face.

'What the hell was that for?' I scream at him laughing as he takes my hand outside where it's much quieter.

'Because you're really pretty and I've had a crush on you ever since we met, plus sober me would never tell you this but I really like you' he says as he stumbles his way around and eventually pulls me down with him onto this pile of grass and leaves making me laugh at him more.

'God you're such an idiot' I say as I lean down and kiss him once more, the growling from behind us caught my attention as I turn to see those stunning blue eyes looking at me, he comes into view his ears back and his fur high, his teeth showing off as I stand up in between both Beast and Conner.

'Conner stay back I've got this' I say as I look at Beast putting a hand out, he looks at me and growls, standing up on his hind legs and snapping his jaws at me causing me to fall on the ground, I was scared as I've never seen Beast act like this towards me.

'Beast?' I say calmly to him, he drops back down his body over me as I tell Conner to go back inside, he does what he's told and leaves as I look into his eyes the sparks causing flames to rupture in my stomach, his growls get softer till I put a hand to his cheek making him snap once more before running off.

I wake to the sound of yelling from outside, I look around and see that I fell asleep on the floor with the book still in my lap, I get up and put the book down and I look outside to see 'James' with Conner, once more arguing over something stupid.

I manage to find my way down the spiraling stairs and out into the yard where I just saw them fighting, I look around and see a group of other people all circling them.

"Excuse me but what's going on?" I say as I tug on the sleeve of this small girl, she widens her eyes and then freezes for a moment.

"Sorry . . . But I'm not allowed to talk to you" she says as she bows and walks off, all confused I push past everyone and see 'James' and Conner half way through their change into their creatures.

"Then it's settled, this will determine her fate for you Conner!" he yells as he shifts into his giant shadow-like wolf, Conner shifts as well into this light brown and white wolf with darker shades around it's snout and paws. They growl as someone grabs my arm I turn to see Ronny looking at me.

"Ronny what going on?" I ask him as I bend down slightly to look into his emotional eyes.

"They're fighting because they don't agree with you, Conner wants you to be back at home where it's safer for you while James wants you to stay here" he says as the two wolves snarl and bite each other, Ronny grips onto my arm a little tighter as he was half hiding behind me.

"Stop it!" I shout as people around me start to glance at me, Ronny turns me to him.

"You can't you have to wait until one of them forfeits or . . ."

"Or what Ron?" I say to him as I look into his eyes, I realize what he's meant to say and I don't know what I'd do if I lost Conner, or James but to be fair I've only just met James' side like a day ago so I don't really know him that well. I pick up the courage and I step into the outline of the circle I was fed up with these two always fighting since I got here so I walk closer to them, I suck in a deep breath.

"I said stop it!" I scream at them as they freeze and stop, Conner's wolf backs off and pants a little as he was bleeding slightly all over as Beast just growls at me, he slowly walks towards me as I glare at him not smiling.

"Don't make me treat you like a damn dog" I threaten him as he snarls and growls again before huffing out. Conner whimpers a little as I turn to look at everyone staring at me, Beast roars and they all disperse back to their own thing since it was pretty terrifying when he did.

They shifted back, both in these skin-tight pants and shirtless I keep my eyes to the floor as they look at me.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? I could have hurt you too," James says to me gripping my forearm as I'm forced to look at him, he's looking down at me, frowning and glaring.

"Glad to see that you slightly care about my safety but I don't, you two are acting like absolute children and this has to stop!" I say ripping my arm out of his grip and going over to Conner who's struggling a little to get up.

"I'm fine! I'm okay," he says to me as he gets up puffing a little.

"Maybe you're right Conner, it isn't safe for her to stay here" James says from behind me, I turn to look at him and I furrow my eyebrows a little.

"What the hell are you saying?"

"The super moon is turning up as it's just around the corner, I can't have you near me when it does, you'll leave with Conner I trust that he'll take care of you till it's over, plus you're slightly annoying" he says to me as I tilt my head and stare at him getting ready to beat is werewolf ass.
