School departures for one

"What is it?" Conner asks when he looks at me as I touch it. I must have gotten it from running away from the giant wolves who where trying to eat me.

"Just . . . Nothing, I've got to go and get ready for school" I say as I run over to him and peck his cheek before running down the stairs and grabbing my clothes then running to my house. I get changed, have breakfast and brush my teeth and hair before walking back outside and seeing Beth in her jeep waiting for me.

"Come on girl!" she shouts from inside as I lock up the house and jump into the car, she hands me a coffee that she bought and I thank her before she stops at Conner's house and gets the boys.

"Hot chocolate for you Ron-Ron, and a coffee for the survivor" she says with a glimpse of a joke in her eyes, Conner thanks her as we drive off talking about last night again and the day before.

"So what now? I mean James and Beast both know where I am so there's no point in hiding right?" I say to them, Ronny stares out the window not bothering to talk in this conversation.

"And yeah, when where you going to tell me too? I feel so betrayed," Beth says as Ronny scoffs silently.

"Well to be honest Ron and I weren't planning to, but when James shifted and we found out about the mate link between you two, plans had to be changed" Conner states to us, sipping on his hot chocolate.

"Oh yeah and when did you become an Alpha?" I say to him, my coffee sitting in my hands as it keeps them warm.

"Late last year" he says to us casually.

"What?"

"Yeah remember when I started to act a lot more protective of you guys?"

"Oh yeah, that does make a lot more sense"

"Well Alpha's have a habit of doing that, besides you guys are my girls," he says to us making me smile a little and Beth looks in the rearview mirror to look at Conner in the eyes.

"So Chloe's the only one in this car to see your wolf first?"

"Well not really I mean, Ronny was with me on my first shift but my alpha wolf, yeah" he says as I remember the look on its face when I first saw it, shivers running up and down my spine.
