The perfect soul

"There's only one species and one woman who can do it but I have a feeling that if it works we'll be able to find her"

"What?" James says to him egging him to finish his sentence and get to the point.

"What if she travelled to the under world"

"What?"

"I remember that when she was . . . Taken she kept going on about eyes, burning eyes, what if it was a demon of sorts that dragged her to the under world?"

"No that's impossible" Griffen says to him, "It's impossible because the only known creature to take a soul to the underworld is the reaper or death itself and they haven't been on earth for a while" he says to us.

"So who does it instead?" I pitch in walking into the conversation.

"Demon's do, well kind of" Carman notifies us.

"My dad may be able to know," Griffen says to us as he looks at James.

"If she's in the under world, then that means that her dad is there too"

"What?" I say to them, I turn to James and then to Conner, "What are you talking about?"

"It's her real dad, her dad here was just a cover up for her mum," Conner says to me making me rethink my entire life.

"We need to get into the under world" Conner says to us all.

"Slight problem there pal the only way to get into the underworld is to be so evil that your soul is damned there" Carman says to us, I smile and look up at James.

"Oh hell no" he says to me, I roll my eyes and stare at him.

"You're the perfect candidate for the job!"

"Demon's go there on a daily basis! Just get one of them to do it!"

"We don't have souls dumb ass we can't go to hell without one" Carman says to him, I knew that he was scared I could literally feel it.

"You're her mate and the only guy here who's killed more people then anyone else in this room" Conner says to him as he grabs his shirt, James growls at him making Conner stand down a little, I roll my eyes and walk towards Justin seeing his gun.

"Move" I say as Griffen stands in my way.

"Oh no honey, there's nicer ways then shooting the guy" he says to me as he turns around pushing Conner out of the way and looking at Carman.

"Ready?" he asks her, she nods her head as she holds onto James' arm before they seemed to burst into flames.

"There, Carman knows what to do" he says to us as he smiles showing off his one dimple.

My screams are muffled up with laughing as I feel violated in everyway, they tell me that this will continue until I'm completely numb, I turn my head not wanting to go over it again but I can't stop it, the burning body then the objects, then the eyes. I close mine pretending that I'm in the arms of Conner. It's just a bad dream it has to be it can't be real. I scream and when I open my eyes once more their faces are scared, I growl in anger as the black smoke takes them all away from me, slamming their bodies into walls and into lava from down below, I know where I am and I know that there's no going out now but I need to find a way. I have Gemini and Conner as well as the rest of my life to worry about. I get up and run not thinking about where I need to go, their laughter still ringing through my ears.

"Conner? You okay?" I ask as I see him sitting in the stair with Gemini asleep on his lap as he looks out the window.

"It's been hours since James and Carman left what if they don't come back?" he says to me as I look down and sigh.

"They will, no matter how much I want James to not come back . . . They will" I say to him making him smile a little as I walk into the room and take Gemini from him and put her down into the cot.

"Come on, they've found something" I say to him as he jumps out of the seat and races down the stairs.

"What is it?" Conner asks them as Sam and Griffen both look at him.

"It's not her just warning you" Griffen reasons with him, Conner growls and scrunches his eyebrows together as he pushes him out of the way and freezes.

"Where did you find it?" he says as he picks it up, I glance at what was on the table and gag at the sight of it, a half eaten cat but its body seems to be ripped in half and drained.

"That's the thing we didn't an anonymous tip gave it to us," Sam says to him worried of Conner's abilities.

"Where?" Conner growls at them making them both slightly grimace.

"I said where Sam" he persists as Griffen tells him, Conner grabs me and shifts moving his head to his back as I climb on without hesitation, I grab handfuls of his fur as he speeds off into the woods to where Griffen told us.

"He said that it was here" I say to Conner's wolf as he sniffs around, the side of the road, I look around the snow seems to cover half of it as I look out for car, if I concentrate hard enough I can see the crash and the casualties lying face first into the snow, her little voice calling for her mother then the creature running out risking being seen.

"Car!" I shout making Conner jump into the bushes while I stand there not having time to move, it slows down and comes to a stop in front of me, I notice the number plate.
