Obsticle number two

"I'm an angel, Lucifer is my brother and you are my niece, I'm here to guide you through your life, your mother made me promise to protect you and once you where of age . . . Teach you your abilities" he says to me placing one of his hands on mine.

"I . . . You knew my mum?" I say to him as tears cloud my eyes.

"Yes, she was a true beauty, you got that from her . . . I'm someone that you can trust okay? And people that you can trust are going to run very low soon so make sure you know what to do when the time comes" he says to me as he stands up and looks out the window, I follow his lead and see him looking at Conner, Beth and Ronny.

"The people closest to you will betray you" he says to me as he takes my shoulders and hugs me taking me by surprise, he looks at me and then a blinding bright light pushes me back forcing me to the ground as I cover my face. Once it leaves my teacher drops to the floor unconscious but breathing, I check for his pulse making sure that he wasn't dying before looking at the door. I look back at him and stand up; I walk outside and smile putting on a brave face before jumping into the car.

"So what did he need to talk to you about?"

"He was making sure that I was okay, I mean I did miss a massive bunch of lessons" I lie to them, I swallow down my guilt and confusion as they just brush it off not thinking about it at all too much before Beth drops us all home.

"Love you babe!" Beth shouts as she drives off, Ronny runs into the house and hugs his mum before grabbing a cookie from the tray in the kitchen and running up the stairs. We kiss Kelly's cheek and do the same heading into our room as I dump my bag on the floor in the corner.

"You gonna tell me what really happened with Mister Dyne?" Conner says to me as he leans on the shelf next to the door, I sigh and drop onto the bed bouncing a little.

"He said . . . Well actually it was my uncle"

"What? Mister Dyne's your uncle?"

"No my uncle is an Angel who possessed him, he's the one that saved me from the assault in the woods all those years ago"

"The burning eyes guy?"

"Yeah him"

"Did he say a name?"

"No but I do have an idea of who it may be"

"Who?"

"He said that he was the brother of Lucifer and though it says in the bible that all angel's are brother's and sister's I think that he's an archangel"

"What?"

"It's one of the original four angels that God created for the purpose of holding one particular role like Gabriel being the messenger and Uriel being wise one to go to in times of trouble and confusion"

"So who is he?"

"I think Michael"

"What?"

"I mean it makes sense, Michael is the angel who casted Lucifer down into the pit in the first place, though God banished him Michael was the one to fight him, he's the only angel who knows how to take down someone, and at the camp site where I was . . . Not every other angel is capable of that" I say to him. He sits down next to me and puts a hand on my leg.

"Holy shit" he says to me as he slowly looks at me, "And I thought my family was complicated" he says making me smile and push him though it didn't do much.

"Shut up you idiot" I say to him as I stand up, I look outside and see two wolves Conner growls and runs down the stairs not giving me enough time to ask what's going on. I follow as I stay out of view, ears dropping on their conversation.

"Sir we need a break, the females are scared and the pups are more so, we need an Alpha"

"Well I need to prepare for a war, besides my father is there and so is Daniel"

"We know but Daniel is stressed, he needs you the pack needs their Alpha" one of them say, Conner drops his head and nods, quietly saying something to the other wolves that I don't pick up in time. They nod their heads and shift back into their wolves before running off towards their pack territory wherever it is.

I run up the stairs and back into Conner's room before he gets here and pretend to do something that didn't seem suspicious though I am puffing like an absolute asthma pacient who tried to run a mile. I hear the door close and a long sigh making me turn around and see Conner before he falls onto the bed and groans.

"What is it?"

"They need me at the pack, everyone's scared and confused"

"Then you should go" I say to him sitting down next to him and rubbing soothing circles on his back.

"But you need me here, I don't wanna leave you" he says to me with puppy eyes, I smile and laugh at him before taking my shoes off and lying down next to him.

"I think I'll manage, besides it's not like you're going to be gone for forever" I say to him as I kiss his nose, he smiles and wraps an arm around me pulling me towards his body.

"I know but I don't want to leave you" he says to me I smile and take a deep breath in.

"I'll see you every day at school" I bargain with him, its like I'm talking to Gemini when she needs to eat her vegetables.

"That's the thing, they need me there all day until it's here" my mind stops for a moment as I feel my heart turn heavy in my chest.

"Oh" I say sounding as sad as I can make it, "What if I go with you? Then that way we're still together? And you're at the pack" I say to him as I look up to his eyes, he smiles and kisses my forehead running a hand through my hair.

"I'd love to but the pack aren't particularly welcoming to outsiders, they're old fashioned," he says to me I sigh and look down a little sad.

"We'll figure something out, we always do" I say to him smiling, he smiles back and kisses me, I fall into it like usual as he turns onto his back holding me to his chest as I run my hands through his hair like always.

"God you're so perfect" he says through the kiss making me giggle, he sits up still wrapping his arms around my waist as I straddle him, with my hands on his cheeks.
