"Listen there's things that Conner hasn't told you guys and there's also things that Conner hasn't told anyone, but I really think that it isn't my place to say anything to be fair" Ronny says to us, I breath in and look at Conner's face, his features where perfectly balanced out, like he was sculpted perfectly by gods.
"So all wolves bodies heal like this?" Beth asks us, as she looks at Conner's chest, seeing the slashes that were once, giant now much smaller.
"Kind of, I can't heal like that only an alpha can heal that fast, I can't even shift"
"Why not?"
"Because my body is too weak and the fact that I haven't turned sixteen yet"
"I thought that a wolf could shift at any time between the age of three and up?" I ask him a little confused.
"No, I mean yeah kind of but as soon as you turn sixteen your body is forced to shift on the full moon of your sixteenth if you haven't already" Ronny says to us looking nervous. We talked for hours before Beth had to head home, we told her that she couldn't tell anyone about this that the existence of wolves had to stay quiet and she promised to keep it a secret, Ronny went to bed up the stairs and I stayed down the stairs with Conner, I just feel so bad for him.
I grab a blanket and wrap it around me chucking a pillow onto the floor as I get ready to fall asleep next to Conner, he groans as he moves an arm that hangs off the side of the couch, I hesitantly reach for his arm as his hand cups mine, his eyebrows furrow a little moving his mouth into a thin line as I breath in sharply kissing the back of it.
"I heard you and the others talking about me" he says to me, I smile as I see him peak one eye open and a smile stretch onto his face.
"What can I say, you're interesting," I say to him trying really hard to not look at his chest.
"Why are you on the floor?"
"Because your couch is only so big?" I tell him, it was true even he didn't fit fully on the couch his feet dangled off of it, he was changed in a pair of heavy duty pants and socks, I smile at him.
"What is it?"
"You're wearing the socks that I gave you," I say as he looks down and lifts one of his legs to see it and smiles a short laugh escapes his lips.
"Yep this unicorns have gotta be used" he says with a laugh, they where light gray socks that I got him as a joke, he asks me to help him up and I do, he wraps an arm around my shoulders and I help him up the stairs to his bed, I move the covers and drop him in the bed.
"Thanks" he says as I sit on the edge, he still wasn't wearing a shirt because he said that it'll seep through and he didn't want to have to wash it, the moon shone through the windows towards his balcony elegantly as the light looked so cold, I walk over not caring about being in the light as I close the windows.
"Come on, we should sleep" he says as he pats the side of his bed, I smile and reluctantly got into the bed, he kisses my forehead and I close my eyes falling asleep to the sound of his heart beating softly.
By morning I look at his chest to see his cuts gone, I run my hand over his chest, which woke him up and made him smile.
"It's not for pleasure I'm just confused" I say to him as he smiles wider.
"Sure" he says to me as he closes his eyes with his smile still etched on his face, I stuck out my tongue playfully at him and trace the faint scaring of the slash, eventually I get out of his bed and walk over to his window to see a mark on the inside of my palm.
