Crying. Crying and darkness.

Somebody was crying. I didn't know who, i tried to open my eyes to see but I couldn't. Instead I seemed to just be floating in a pool of blackness.

What happened? We were down there in that room now blackness. Leah it was her house. That room, so much like the one I use to stay in. The one that still gave me nightmares. Then the wall covered in red string. Writing. Photos. Maps. Proof that I was right. Then darkness.

Lucian. I needed Lucian. Where was he? I felt my heart rate increase dramatically and some people were murmuring. My breathing became laboured.

"She's having a panic attack." Somebody says. It was soft and so distant I struggled to hear the rush and pain in their voice.

Movement. Somebody was moving closer. I didn't need to be awake, I could feel their presence. Something at the back of my mind held their breath as a hand clasped my limp one tightly. Sparks flew all around me and I felt the craziness running around my mind calm down slowly. I felt the flutter of butterflies around my stomach making me feel funny.

Only one person could make me feel like that.

I wanted to open my eyes, I wanted to see him. I wanted to smile at him and hold him tight. Most of all I wanted to kiss him senseless. But instead I was stuck in an endless pool of blackness. It made me feel nervous.

That crying. I realised from the way my hands shook was coming from the strong almighty prince. My mate was crying and it made my heart ache.

I wanted to give him something. A token. I was doubtful whether I would have enough energy, but I knew being near my mate would help. My wolf nudged me at the back of my mind weak but begging me to go forward.

I push all my energy into the hand that Lucian was clasping as if his life depended on it. As if he was the only thing keeping me breathing. As if he was my life line. No that I'm arguing against that. I felt my palm grow warm and fill with life. I know he felt it too. I felt his eyes scan my face with hope. I kept pushing all of my energy. I could feel my power twisting, building and creating. I felt sweat trickle down my forehead in exhaustion . I shouldn't be doing this to myself! But I had to, I wanted to. For him.

I was finished. I heard a sharp intake of breath from who I could only assume was from Lucian as he looks down at my creation. He plucks it out of my hands leaving them feeling empty and cold once more.

"Thank you my little star." I could hear him whisper. I smiled.

Exhaustion was taking control of me and I could only hear the panicked sound of my mates voice and shouting before I was pulled back into the darkness and fell unconscious once more.

Lucien's POV

She looked perfect, even when she was deeply unconscious. Her blonde hair was splayed all around her, her cheeks a rosy red. She looked so small laying in the hospital bed a heart monitor beside her providing the only evidence that her heart was still beating. I couldn't bare to be near her though, no matter how much more beast struggled and pushed I could sit next to her lifeless body because it made me feel sick. It made me want to rip everything around me into shreds.

That's when I started to cry.

No let's get this straight. I don't cry, ever. Not ever. But I've treated my queen like shit and then I let it go a step too far and she fainted. Was she overwhelmed? I don't know. But I was suppose to protect her to make sure she was okay. I'm never ever gonna make the same mistake again. She is my first priority, now and forever.

I have caused her so much pain and heartache it was almost a miracle that she was willing to come back to me and trust me, that she was blessing me with her cheeky smile and that spark that gleamed in her eyes. She was so fucking perfect, so perfect for me in every way. She was made for me, crafted specifically for me by the Moon goddess.

She didn't know it but I felt everything. When King had taken over my body it didn't stop me from feeling what she was feeling, the tour her and pain kept me up pacing around in the back of Kings mind. That alone pissed him off. I was so stupid to not think about the possibility that Sass the only girl who has been granted permission to come on Lycan land wasn't a royal, was her. I regret that every single day. I had the night I slapped her over and over on replay after I found out that my beautiful mate had been hiding undercover. I hate myself even more for how I stayed away afterwards and stuck with Leah.

I can now imagine how bad it must of looked from her point of view. All the times Leah would whisper to me in the hallway. I should of seen sooner that she was manipulating me and my mate.

I look over to my little star watching her chest rise and fall. Nothing will keep us apart now. I briefly touch the mark on my neck, her mark. Thinking that made me smile, when she wakes up she will be fully Lycan and mine. For now all I could feel was stillness, darkness. It wasn't comforting at all.

I run my eyes over her body. Accessing her fragile image. Who would of thought that she would be such a fire cracker. My firecracker. My little star.

Suddenly I feel confusion swirling around my soul. My eyes widen. Was she waking up? But quickly that confusion turned into panic. Huge raging panic that made my heart this in my chest and made me want to scream out or help her or anything.

The doctor rushed in, female thank goodness I couldn't handle a male being near her in such a fragile state.

"She's having a panic attack" the doctor sounded worried.

In almost a flash I was at her side clasping her hand trying to get her to calm down. I lightly stroked her hair. Silently willing her to open her eyes and just be okay. I wanted to see her beautiful blue eyes stare up at me. But that didn't happen. Luckily I did feel her calm under my touch, now that made me smile.

The doctor left the room once more and I was left clasping her hands and watching her trying to look for any signs of if she was going to wake up. Earlier the doctor told me she had been traumatised, on top of transforming into a Lycan, getting a lack of sleep and that it has taken a huge toll on her body. Meaning that her body has to shut down in order for her to gain enough energy to keep going. I run my free hand through my hand sighing. I shouldn't of been so careless.

There was a sudden warmth radiating off Stella's palm. Her hand clasped him and my eyes immediately flicker up hopeful. However her eyes remain shut, I can't help the disappointment that creeps it's way into my chest. But I ten my gaze back to her hand. I could feel something storing beneath it, it was buzzing with light and life.

I watched amazed until her hand drops away leaving a small flower sitting in the middle of her palm. I pick it up, fascinated. Is this the power that my mate possesses? The ability to create new beautiful things....

It was a star flower, so small that it sat snug in the palm of my hand, so fragile. It had the most vibrant colours I had ever seen. It was so new and original. I lean forward and softly kiss my mates forehead. This was her token, her sign. She's alright. I sigh in relief. I don't know what I would of done if she wasn't, if she had just remained in her lifeless state.

" Thank you my little star." I whisper softly.

I prayed to the moon that she could hear me. My little star. I could almost see a little smile stretch across her lips. All I wanted to do was kiss her senseless, and countless other things. But that happened to be top of the list for me.

" Prince Lucian." I hear somebody call.

My head whips around, my eyes sharp. Who dare interrupt this moment with my mate. My eyes land on the small Lycan. I stand up swiftly quickly doing the calculations in my head. Give it ten seconds, maybe less.

"Wait!" He screeches. Obviously noticing my sharp teeth and threatening glances. " I can explain."

Suddenly I hear shouts coming from all directions.

" There's been an attack."
