The Queen of Stars

Chapter 17

I hadn't come out of my room since last night when Lucia and Luke took me home. Uncle Arthur had tried to coax me out of my room but i was having none of it. I moved around my room doing whatever i could to entertain myself. Finally i heard him leaving the house for work. Earlier he had told me he wouldn't be home till well past midnight, so i shouldn't wait up for him. 

I had yet to discover what he actually did on the Island, i mean the only reason he came back from being rouge was because of this mysterious job that he got offered by the king and queen. 

The King and Queen who i had yet to meet. I knew they had four children but i didn't know their names or anything. Hopefully Lucia will introduce me to them. My parents have always told me that they were kind people at heart but many years and wars have made doing business with them difficult. Hence the massive Island where they limit exit and access to the Island. 

They put on a mask around everyone but family and are apparently ruthless, they have no mercy for those who threaten their community or their family. I don't know if i fear them or admire them for that. 

Nether less i was excited to meet more people, to see what a famous Lycan ball was really like. 

So when the clock hit five a clock i snuck out of the house a bag in my hand and my beautiful white dress flung over my shoulder. 

Using my wolf speed i managed to arrive at Lucia's apartment in record time. Breathless i ring the doorbell. I really need to start training again. Ill have to ask Lucia about training grounds, even though training with Lycan's is basically signing a death sentence. I can handle them, i'm strong enough. 

I heard the door open and i turned around. Lucia had a huge grin on her face, she looked like she was up to something, something that could mean trouble..... Im in. 

 "Stella! Come in! Come in!" Lucia Said practically pulling me inside. She linked our elbows and pulled me towards what looked life the living area. 

When we enter i gasp. 

There were two vanity mirrors set up in the middle of the room with a wide range of products arranged neatly on the tables surface. I could even see a foot tub down under the table. 

I jumped up and down screaming like a small child. It was just, wow. The fact that Lucia did this for me meant a lot. I knew that my God father was making her keep secrets for me and she told me that this was just a small pay back or a small way to repel against him, ultimately because he broke her heart. Still no matter how much i pester her she wont tell me this secret, something about a blood pact sealed with something that is apparently sacred to Lycans. Something which i don't know. 

Im not getting any closer to answers and its super frustrating. 

But i need to let loose and enjoy tonight. Maybe find a handsome suitor? 

So me and Lucia took our time getting ready. Luke came in halfway through and started laughing at us with our face masks and pedicured feet soaking in the tub. 

He shut up though as soon as Lucia asked him what whore he had just been attending to. I had to stifle a laugh. He frowned and murmured something about going and getting dressed. 

" Oooh darling just come out when you want me to start your makeup, we don't have forever you know!" I call out to him. 

Lucia let out a long laugh. The minutes turned into hours and soon we had pampered ourselves up and were dressed up in our elegant white dresses and masks. The whole way to the palace we were laughing about who was going to get lucky tonight. But suddenly i stopped.
