I was really looking forward to my date tonight. I had finished getting dressed and had finally managed to separate myself from Lucian. He was checking security footage and forming strategies with some of the generals. His best friend and my close friend Seb had met us when Lucian was just leaving. The timing was too perfect is you ask me. I suspected that I was being babysat.

Being the independent person I was I didn't find that too exciting. But then again everybody on this island thinks I'm inane. Anyway we went on we walk around for a bit but I got bored. I wanted to do something, I wanted to help. But I apparently had different duties according to Lucians mother, all of which include staying calm and staying out of the war. A face of peace for the people.

Finally I was able to ditch Seb though, trailing behind him until he didn't notice me slip away and wonder back towards the castle. The only thing on my mind at the moment was food. I had burned quite a lot of energy the night before and I really needed to restock. My stomach was growling like mad. I walk with urgency, through all the different corridors. Making sure to stay away from the keen lycan eyes.

I push open the kitchen doors, utterly desperate to find some sort of meal, fruit, beverage. I wanted it all. But the only thing I found was my former friend, indulging in a midday snack.

"War is coming Lucia and still you find your time is best spent making out with my godfather on the kitchen counter." I remark bluntly, watching the two of them go at each other like pigs who have been deprived of food.

They both freeze once hearing my voice. Lucia slowly looks up at me from her place on the kitchen counter. But my godfather doesn't dear turn around, smart man.

"So your talking to me now." Lucia replies in a low whispered tone. Her hands move from Uncle Arthers shoulders to wrap around her body in a protective matter. My godfather keeps still, not daring to move a muscle. They are both frightened of me now? Good.

I wonder if that's due to the new power that clings to the air that I possess. I could only imagine how taunting it must be for them to be in the same room as such power. They did not need to fear me as much as my newly turned Lycan would love for them to bow to me and this power. I don't particularly wish such of them. I need to grow up, forgive and forget such heartaches.

" we are family now I don't wish for you to fear me. Only that You forgive me for being so ... unforgiving in the first place. I should of dealt with it so much better." I tell her softly. Leaving my post at the kitchen doorway. They both watch my every move, eyes wide, mouth a gasp.

I grab an apple from the fruit bowl and turn to head out the door again but I'm stopped by my godfathers voice.

" Stella is everything alright?" He asks... almost sceptical. I give him a puzzled look. "You've changed."

I smile at that, a cruel delicious smile that makes my lycan purr. " I'm fully mated. It's forced me to grow up." My words are soft, almost foreign." I am still me, but war is coming-

" So you say. But apart from the attack there hasn't been a whisper of anything else." Arthur dares to growl. His eyes bright and deadly. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up, my lycan roaring at the person who dared speak to her in such a way.

" Arther I'm honestly not fighting you on this. I need to go get ready for my date." I try keep my emotions down, but the words come out bitter, utterly deadly. My God father freeze at my tone, his powerful posture collapsing.
