The Queen of Stars

Chapter 24

I stood there in the garden of the palace completely still. The sound of bells chiming started off in the distance and I knew it was midnight. Slowly I let my power go. A huge weight is lifted off my shoulders and I felt free. The the peeling of the layers started. A slight ripple of magic faded around me. And then as if it was only a second I was myself again. I felt strange but good. Way better than I have been feeling and I intent to stay that way.

Ten minutes that's all I have.

I rush to the ball room feeling much like the situation is a twisted version of Cinderella. 

9 minutes.

I see the front gates, I expected there to be more people but there is nobody in sight . I feel more confident now, my plan is going to work. 

8 minutes

Nobody will notice me, but the great amount of power flowing off me and the fact I smell like a werewolf may give me away. I felt nervous yet determined as I stride into the ballroom. The room was filled with people, not as much as the mask erase ball which seemed to of had twice as much.

7 minutes

But as soon as I planted my first foot on the grand stairs everyone in the room went silent and then in what didn't even feel like a second, all eyes are on me.

6 minutes

The man in tuxedo asked for my name and I just smiled fondly at him.

"It's alright sir. I am someone who will need no introduction." I replied my voice calm and soft. My normal voice, it felt so good to be back. The familiarity was something i hadn't had in a while. 

5 minutes

I made my way down the stairs with each stride I seemed to feel more and more powerful. If anybody here knew my parents the resemblance is clear but nobody has ever seen what I look like before except my closest family.

I got to the bottom of the stairs only to be met with shocked faces. Their stares were welcomed with glares of my own.

4 minutes

"Who invited you!" Somebody shouted and it was backed up with the murmurs of agreement from the other guests. I guess they expected me to back down, as if. I just sneered.

" I am the one you are honouring am I not? After all it is my birthday today and I would appreciate having a few more minutes as myself. " I barked back.

3 minutes.

I felt a hand grab my arm and started to pull me away. I spin around only to see Lucia's pissed of face. "I have been looking everywhere for u Stella! Why did u run off and with the book of all things. How much do you know? This isn't safe. My brother can't see u we have to leave." She said through her teeth.

I growled at her in reply. " I have every right to be here Lucia. Plus I think your brother knows I'm here. I can sense his presence and it's making its way over just as planned this very moment."

2 minutes 

My head whips around as i feel him enter the ballroom. Its so different seeing him when i'm myself, it feels like i'm on cloud nine just by looking at him. My breath was ripped away from my and my eyes felt blessed to be looking at such a sight. My heart rate picked up and my eyes seemed to start roaming his glorious body. 

I could hear girls in the room sighing and whispering about him and i felt that monster grow inside me again, jealousy an unfamiliar feeling. but my eyes never left his. 

1 minute

His eyes caught mine and his whole body stiffened. His eyes held mine and my heart seemed to beat a little faster. My palms were sweating and the nerves started to kick in. Nobody has made me feel like this before , nobody. 

I could feel Lucia trying to pull me away subtlety. But i planted my feet not wanting to miss his next move. Then I felt a new pair of hands pulling at me. I stumble over and into the arms of my god father. 

I heard a large growl coming from the staircase. Then in a second i was ripped away form my god fathers grasp and engulfed in a new embrace. 

" Mon amour is it really you?" Lucian whispered his voice was soft and sounded tear chocked. I look up into his eyes which seem to hold the whole word in them. He runs a finger lightly down my cheek making me shudder with delight. " Little star" he breaths. His leans down and captures his mouth in mine. 

i was taken back, i did not expect this. But it didn't take me long to kiss him back. His lips felt soft and warm on mine and i swear i thought i was dreaming. When i was younger i use to dream oh his kissing me exactly like this. There are sparks flying everywhere and i'm starting to feel dizzy. 

I mean, not that i have much experience but... Best. Kiss. EVER. 

Which makes what i'm going to do so much harder.

Ok i've recovered. That was WOW. This scene i changed....Six times. 

So i hope you guys like it. If you want i could post the alternative option, but i loved this one so much more, it means more drama and at the moment i'm happy with Stella being angry at him, before he's an idiot who treated her badly. 

Plus she's pissed at everybody at the moment. 

But a game of cat and mouse never did nobody no harm, right? 

Oh! But side note. If you see Lucian spelt Lucien its the same person just i don't think when i type and i don't have time to go change it if i wanna finish the novel this year. 

I mean don't you guys love how it goes

Im so proud of myself, cause i had no idea that i started all the siblings names with L till last chapter.
