Chapter 21

Lucia's POV

This is bad. 

I regret taking her to that ball, though it was quite funny to see the pure hate cross over Stella's face as the night went on and the complete and utter awe when she first met my brother. Ha, i guess that didn't last long. She was getting frustrated now but i knew the more time they spend together either the closer they will get to finding the truth or the hatred between them will grow.

I only wish for their happiness, but i know that this isn't what Stella's parents wanted for her. I know why they find it a bad idea for my brother and Stella to get too cosy. Danger lurks behind my brother and sucks onto him like a leeches. 

" Arthur talk to me." I say quietly. 

We had been sitting here for a while. I told him everything that happen. All he has done is stare at me, with an immense amount of anger. 

" Please Athu-" 

" NO! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY LU!" He screamed. His eyes were bulging out at me and i swear if i told him any more bad news the vain in his neck may just pop. " You let this happen Lu! YOU put her into danger meaning YOU will be telling Bella and Then and also suffering the consequences. I mean How the hell could You let her anywhere near him! You know the danger that comes with it!" he stands up rubbing his face. " Ugh Lucia! How the hell could you of been so incredibly stupid! I thought we had a deal, but you just had to go off and put her in danger! What if she finds out! What if he finds out! What if Stella finds out! What if they find out! Have you even though of the consequences." 

" I-" 

" Nope! Save your pathetic sorry's for another. Maybe Stella or her parents. Or maybe even the universe because thats what your destroying here, the future of our world as we know it!" 

" Well by keeping them apart your doing the same thing idiot. Did you ever read that prophecy book? Huh?" I fire back, my temper blazing. 

"Of course i have! Im the prophecy child's god father. But, well Bella's copy of the book. It has pages missing. But i know the basics. " 

"Never mind that. But if you really want to fix this we need to hide that book before she finds it. She's been talking to me and she's already on the hunt for it. Ive been trying to put her off for a couple of days but knowing her she will be helping Maggie today so nows our chance. If you don't want her to know and her family doesn't want her to know then i will make sure she doesn't know. "

Stella's POV

I felt like i have been walking in circles. I mean, i swear i've seen that golden vase at least five times in the last three minutes. I think to myself. Ugh there is no use, now i'm lost. 

" They really need a Map of this place." I mutter under my breath. 

" Ive often thought of that myself." A cherry voice comes form behind me. I turn only to see a small face framed by long brown curly hair. Light green eyes and small pink lips. Her cheeks were tinted red and her small et beautiful figure had a graceful air to it. Her eyes were sparkling up at me, Princess Lucy. 

" Why if it isn't Princess Lucy! How are you darling?" I ask a grin spreading across my face. She was young, only four and nearly five. But she was extremely mature for her age and her range of vocabulary was massive, i guess thats what happens when you have siblings centuries older than you. But she reminds me so much of myself and i never had older siblings. 

" Why if it isn't princess Stella. Im grand thank you." His small mouth pulled into a cheeky grin as i stand there shocked. 

" How did you-? " She shrugs her small, delicate shoulders. 

" I have my resources." Hm sure she did, she was a curious young thing, so her eavesdropping on one of me and Lucia's conversations is highly likely. 

" Hey Lucy? Could you take me to the library? I'm really super lost right now. " I asked. 

" Of course!" She turned on her heels and started to walk in the opposite direction." I assume your following me?" She called out. I snapped out of my though train and followed her, right on her heels. 

After a few minutes of chatting and walking we arrived at what only could be described as the biggest library in history. 

" Mother needs me so i must be off." Lucy said and with that she turns to leave. 

" Wait! Lucy." She looks back at me with her usually curious spark in her eyes. " You wont tell anybody? About me?" 

She laughs. " Who is there to tell. Everybody knows who you are. Though i have to admit you look different to how my brother describes you." 

I shake my head. " Why would Lucien talk to you bout me? Whats so important about us?" 

Lucy just laughs again, her giggles sounding like bells chiming. 

" Oh your really funny." 

I give her a strange look. " Oh, your serious." 

" Well haven't your mother and father told you about being mated to him?" 

My heart stops. It made scene entirely, i could feel the romantic bond between us and it was strong, the jealousy, the connection, the attraction. It was all there. But i have a mate. In this world there is no such thing as second chance mates. 

" Im sorry Lucy but you don't make sense. I have a mate, i rejected him because-" 

" Your heart already belonged to another." 

I look at her strangly. " What do you mean." 

" Silly girl. Did you not know that Lycan's have seperate mates to all other creatures. They were made to rule not love. But the moon godess showed mercy and gave them a chance. So a Lycan mate is called a Sodales. Which means Soulmate in Latin. The bond between a Lycan and it mate is extremely powerful. It can even override an original mate marking if the Lycan is of high status. So you may have a Werewolf mate but since you met my brother all those years ago your bond by now would be beyond crazy powerful, so in your heart no matter what other excuses you made you will always choose him." 

No. No no no no no no. You can tell i'm in full on denial. A four year old just told me what everyone else i know failed to.
