" Give me the Key." I demand. Snapping my fingers at Lucian. He laughs. " Your assuming I actually have a key?" I raise an eyebrow, does he actually think i'm joking around? His laughs turn into coughs as i cross my arms glaring at him.
" Key Lucian." I try again. I swear to the moon if he doesn't give me the key, I will scream. Doesn't he understand how important this is? I mean those pills? What gain is she getting from forcing people to take unauthorised pills? What gain is she getting from any of this bullshit. The only thing I know she wants is Lucian and to be queen and now that we are marked there is no way she will ever take the crown, and Lucian will always be connected to me. I don't care how obsessively possessive that sounds. He's mine now and i'm his.
I lean forward slightly, my mouth close to Lucians ear. " What's stopping you Lucian" I whisper lightly, my hand was wondering along the strong planes of his body. Pleasure rolls through my body as I watch him shiver in delight from the action. His voice was shaky as he replies "I've known Leah for a very long time Stella, she couldn't of gotten anything close to what I know your thinking that she's doing, past me." I pause my movement for a second. " you don't give her enough credit, she may be my least favourite person right now, but she's very very smart. I mean she tricked me into thinking you were in love with her. That takes skill." Now it was his turn to stop. The hand that had been clasped at the back of my neck and the regret that crept into my soul made me want to scream. " Lucian..." I growl. My hand pushed against his chest and he smacked into the wall of Leah's apartment.
"You better be joking Lucian." I hiss. " It was a long time ago-" he stutters.
"I don't care! How come i'm only just hearing about this now!" I hiss again. My eyes were shooting laser beams at my mate. " My parents wanted me to mate with her and secure ties with the witches-" He cries.
" Didn't your parents read the book! That's my brothers job. Your mine Lucian, nobody elses problem. " I snap, interrupting him.
" This was long before I had found you. Leah had just gotten a job at the Island-"
" How did she get the job?" I interrupt, my tone a lot harsher than I intended.
" Well the last Witch was poisoned and my parents found her on the main land close to the island-"
" Well that's not suspicious!"
" Just because you hate her, does not mean she's conspiring with the rebels!"
" because you use to have a 'thing', and because she's your 'friend', and because she is completely obsessed with you, don't you think she would do anything in her power to get to you and your crown?"
He looks to the ground, refusing to answer me anymore. I scoff, he can't be serious? Does he not see it? How could be be so blind? All the evidence was right in front of him. The attack on his father, the pills and the last Witch being poisoned! All of that can not be a coincidence. " Keys?"
Lucian growls a little his beady eyes flicker up watching me, I just tilt my head innocently, as if i didn't nearly just rip his head off. I then watch as he pulls out a shiny key from his jean pocket. As soon as i caught sight of it I squealed and attempt to snatch it out of his hand, but he holds on tight. Whats wrong with him? I growl in response. Adora was snapping at the back of my mind, pissed. Lucian tugs on the key pulling me forwards so that I was right up against him. My eyes widen. We were so close, I could hardly think.
" Why are you so sure that its her?" He whispers, trying to look into my eyes. But I look away. Far out, into the woods. " You seriously aren't asking me that Lucian." I reply.
Sighing he lets go.

" do you even know where Leah is? What if she comes back?" Lucian asks as we wonder down the hallway.
" She's in a security meeting with your Father. She won't be home for another couple of hours." I reply quickly. My eyes were scanning the room, my wolf taking note of anything that looks even slightly suspicious. " don't touch anything by the way. We don't know what kind of security mesure she's got on this apartment." I tell Lucian.
Leah's apartment looked almost 100 years old. The place seemed to be covered in a thick layer of dust. There are old books and furniture all over the place, little ornaments and boxes litter the tables and floor with ancient witch tongue printed upon each thing.
" We're gonna need a dictionary." I hear Lucian mumble. That inflicted a small chuckled from me.
" Hey." I whisper, grabbing Lucian's arm. He stills immediately, turning slowly to face me. " I'm so sorry about yelling at you before. I don't want to fight. But you have to understand, this..." I wave my hands around, gesturing at Leah's things. I pull his hand so that me could feel the nervous flutters of my heart. ".... is hard for me."
" It's hard for me too Stella..." his voice is soft and I watch as he met my gaze. It was filled with longing and sadness. "....I'm not going against you, I'm just struggling to take this idea in."
Me heart beat quickens. My mind is indicating that this is showing how loyal and sweet he is. The fact that he is always willing to think the best of somebody as terrible as Leah, shows what kind of person he is and what kind of leader he will one day be. I just pull him close and hug his warmth.
My fire and fight has always been ranging, ever since i was little. Just like my parents. I whisper another sorry as he strokes his hand down my spine, sighing. Not long after, I forced myself to break away from him and continue my search.
My eyes were getting sore after a while from scanning every piece of this room, if we couldn't spot anything soon. We may have to risk touching things. I didn't want to think about what Leah would do to us if she knew we were here, if I was here.
" Stella over here!" Lucian calls. Turning around I mange to track him down in the master bedroom. Seeing him in another woman's bedroom did not spit well with me. He seemed to of sense my temper spiking and turns around to face me. Seeing me his face softened and he came over wrapping me in a hug. Slowly, I felt the anger flow out of my system.
" Shhhhh, its okay. Adora? Calm, please" He soothed. " Stupid Lycan-wolf." I mutter in reply, chuckling a little.
" Show me what you found." I told him, twisting out of his clasp. But keeping a tight hold on his hand, It comforted me. He comforted me.
Lucian walked me over to the closet and pulled out one of the draws. Inside sat what seemed like a hundred glass boxes. My mind was spinning. Why hide them? This definitely isn't sitting right with me and the way Lucian was squirming behind me, i knew he felt the same.
my hands were shaking as i reach out and grab one of the boxes, opening it I find it empty. Where are she keeping these pills? My eyes flew across the area of the closet, my hands scurrying everywhere. " Where are these stupid pills!" I scream in frustration.
I turn around so vigorously that i knock into Lucian sending him toppling over and knocking a book on the shelf. Only the book didn't fall. Instead it hung mid air, attached to a metal pole... it was a leaver. My breath seemed to have been snatched away. My heartbeat quickened, all my senses were on guard. Lucian was mumbling something to do with the wardrobe.
Everything from that point on was a haze. The wardrobe that was suddenly a door. The sound of the key turning the lock and foot steps, to Lucian hurrying me down the stairs and shutting the secret door behind us.
Then we were at the bottom of the stairs. My heart beat was quickening with every second. The area behind the wardrobe looked identical to the basement I was forced to live in for a year. My head was whirling, my vision was becoming shaky. My breathing quickened and I could still hear Ava's screams, my own screams accompanying it in a sick melody. I managed to turn into the room, the one that was suppose to look exactly like the one in that horrible horrible pack. It was suppose to be dirty and blood stained, and it was. Only there was different furniture.
A desk with a singular lamp. And littered all over the walls were photos and maps and words, words that I couldn't read because as soon as I got a glimpse of that room, I fell to the floor. vomited my guts out.
Then everything went black.
