"have you been taking your meds?"

finn's head snapped towards winona, "what?"

millie bit her lip, sitting in the corner of the room.

millie was glad he was seeing winona, but every time he was called in here, it didn't seem to help.

after finn had come to see her on monday, winona has requested to see finn every day, because she realized how detached he was making himself. it was wenesday. three days of counseling had done little to help him. she had referred him to a more qualified therapist, but finn didn't want his parents to pay for that. so he just had winona.

"your antidepressants. have you been taking them?" she asked again, writing something down on her notepad.

finn crosses his arms, shaking his head, sinking into his chair, "i.....i honestly don't remember,"

millie remembered.

he didn't take them.

"well, maybe you should develop a system or routine. it might help," she suggested.

finn shrugged, glancing off to the side.

winona smiles softly, "so. have you talked to any close friends recently?"

finn bit his lip, and looked down, "i talked to sadie. caleb came over a few days ago,"

winona kept her eyes trained on him, "what about your other friends?"

finn shifted in his chair as his eyes flicked up towards her, "i don't know. i eat lunch with them but it's all kind of a blur,"

"anyone else?"

finn shrugged, "i went to her house,"

"millie's house?"

finn nodded.

"how'd that go?" she asked, folding her hands together and placing them on the table.

he shrugged, "it was for the investigation. i talked to her family. i babysat ava,"

"but how did it go for you?"

finn bit his lip, "it was.....easier because they were there. when i saw ava sad it made me realize i'm not alone,"

suddenly, there was a light knock on the door, and mr.harbour opened the door slightly, smiling. mr.harbour's eyes went straight for winona. he smiled at her for a few seconds, as she reciprocated the action.

finn was eying the two suspiciously. they were being weird. even millie noticed how weird it was.

david's eyes finally met finn's. concern placed david's bright smile as he drew his eyebrows together. he looked back at winona, "busy?"

"yeah," she said, "come back at nine,"

mr.harbour looked at finn, leaning against the doorframe.

he hadn't gotten any worse, from mr.harbour's perspective, but he hadn't gotten any better. mr.harbour was very cautious around finn, ever since the whole bathroom episode, where he claimed to nearly have killed himself. but.... it had been a couple weeks since she had died. mr.harbour didn't know a lot about grief but he knew it didn't look like this.

he bit his lip at finn.

finn scoffed, "what? scared of me?"

mr.harbour drew his eyebrows together, taken aback by his aggression, "no, kid. i'm just checking to make sure you're getting better,"
