Just talking with Zeni made Criss feel good about being in the wheelchair he was just about to ask Zeni on a date when Zeni noticed the time. "Klay I have to get to work can you drive me back". "Why don't I Zeni I have to pick up something for dinner" Dimitra remarked. "Ok but before we do Criss you want to go out say tomorrow". "I'd like that"Criss replied with a smile as Dimitra and Zeni left. "I knew you had a thing for her" as Criss chuckled.
"God you're worse than my mother Klayton" Criss remarked. "I thought your mother was staying with JD". "She got into a disagreement with JD so she asked if she could stay with me and it's been kind of fun to have my mom here"Criss replied. "You are such a moma's boy Christopher". The door bell rang and Klayton went to get it. He opened the door and saw a detective at the door. "What do you want giving my friend some more false hope on finding the car jacker who paralyzed him"Klayton remarked with a bit of an attitude.
"Nice to see you too now is Criss home?". "Maybe" he replied. "And how about I arrest you for obstruction"the detective suggested. "Listen it's been three years since that punk shot my friend in the back and you giving him false hope when the case went cold. Criss nearly wanted to die because you assholes couldn't find the person I'm not letting my friend go through that again so why don't you get the hell out of here"Klayton suggested. "Hey!! Klayton what's going on?" Criss asked as he wheeled over.
Klayton opened the door to let the detective in. "I'll be outside" and Klayton walked off. "What's going on?". "We have a lead on the car jacker they raid a chop shop and they found pieces of your car in the shop. One of them wants a deal and he'll let us know who brought the car to the shop and when". "That sounds great". "I'll see you later but make sure your friend doesn't answer the door" he stated looking at Klayton who threw the detective the bird. After the detective left Criss asked Klayton what was that about.
"I remember how that detective gave you hope that they'd find the person who shot you and took your car even with the surveillance they couldn't find the person. When that detective told you in the hospital that the case had gone cold you were ready to just throw your life down the toilet" Klayton stated. "But I pulled myself out of it Klayton but why go toe to toe with the detective?" Criss asked."I just don't want you to get your hopes up again Criss I don't want to see you get depressed the way Costa did".
Criss looked at his friend. "What do you mean the way Costa is?"Criss inquired. "You didn't know Costa has been committed to an asylum since last year he had a breakdown" Klayton stated. "Why didn't anyone tell me about this?"Criss inquired upset. "Because he blames himself for your accident. He says if I didn't tell him about that short cut Criss would still be walking"Klayton replied.
"How did you find out about this?" Criss asked. "I overheard your mother and JD talking in his car yesterday about how Costa took it the hardest when you were put in that chair and so does JD" Klayton added. "I don't blame those two for what happened to me. I have to make this right with my brother"Criss stated.
