Jonah's POV

She was gone. As I watched the car pull out of the driveway I ran a hand through my hair and gave her a slight wave. I knew she was watching me, she waved back.

I walked over to the nearest tree and kicked it as hard as I could
"FUCK!"
I grabbed at my hair and crouched down, leaning on the tree. I cried, whimpering a little. Apart from when I was still a little kid my family had never seen me cry and now here I was, breaking down.
Esther walked over to me. I stretched  out my foot not wanting her to come near me.
"Just leave me alone, Esther!" I raised my voice at her slightly making her jump, but still she comes and sits next to me. She leans her head on my shoulder.

"You're gonna be fine jo, she loves you so much and you love her. No distance could break the love you two have."

This gives me a little hope and I turn to her.
"Sorry for snapping at you" I mumble.
She just reaches up and wipes the tears from my face with her thumbs.

"She left you this, I'm not sure what's inside." Esther hands me a box with a gold ribbon tied in a bow.
"Thanks, Esther"

I run inside and up to my room. Closing door. I stumble onto my  bed and bury my face in my pillow.
"Aarggghhhh" I moan and then turn onto my back, grabbing the box.

Slowly I undo the box and look inside. There's Polaroids of us. Our first date at the lake. One of me putting the ring on her finger. Three of us kissing and two of her climbing on my back, covering my eyes. There's a picture that a fan drew of us together and a fake rose that I gave her on one of our dates. I look at all of them before pulling out a note.

Jonah,
I don't want to leave you but I have to.
I'm always yours and that will never change.
We are going to make it through the distance, I promise.
I love you with all my heart.

I look at my hand and see my engagement ring,
Seeing it just makes me want to marry you more.

I see her tear stains on the paper and add my on. I hold the paper to my chest and cry. She is my soul mate and she was taken from me. But I'm getting her back. This isn't the end.

Svea comes in and sits on my lap.
"I miss her, Jo" she whines.
"So do I Svea,  but we'll see her again soon. And she's happy,  Daniel is probably the best brother ever! Maybe even a better brother than me... if that'd possible." I taze her ribs and she hits me in the chest.
"Trust me it can't be that hard" she rolls her eyes and I fake gasp. I pull her into a hug and kiss her cheek.

"How about we go convince mom to let you have a phone so you can facetime Evie? " I smirk.

"YEEESSSSSSSS!!!" Svea shouts, right in my ear.
"jesus Svea, no need to deafen me!" We run downstairs and ask my mom expecting to have to put up a fight.

"mom can we please get Svea a phone so she can facetime Evie, I know you probably don't want her to have a pho. ."

"Okay" my mom smiles at me and I just stare back. Looking down at Svea.

"Really?" Svea asks hopefully.
"Yes of course, but no social media yet!" Me and Svea grin at each other and go to buy her a phone.
