Puppy dog eyes

chapter ● 11

Me and jonah look at each other shocked. Instinctively we both go after him. I'm still wearing jonah's hoodie and I just slip on christina's sweatpants as it's easier than skinny jeans. Jonah throws on basketball shorts and doesn't worry about a shirt.

We run out the front door and look for zach. No where. Panic spreads across our face when I turn to my right and see him through the fence. He's crossing onto 5th Avenue. Jonah sprints after him and I try to keep up but cant.

When I get to where they went jonah's sat on the ground leaning against a tree. Zach is spitting words at him so fast and aggressively I can't even make out what he says. Jonah is just staring. I know he wants to cry but he can't. I don't know why but his body won't let him. He looks at me with the infamous puppy dog eyes, asking me to help without saying a word to me. I take the hint and raise my voice slightly. Managing to stop the river of tears flowing from my eyes. I finally speak.

"Zach LISTEN" I speak harsh yet soft.
"Me and jonah have been a thing for almost a month and a half now."
"Are you se-" I cut him off
"He didn't want to tell you last night because he was scared of hurting you. Zachy I love you but not in that way. Jonah is the only boy I want and I can't help that. I'm really sorry to hurt you but I don't want to lose you either. Please can we still be friends? All three of us?" Zach looks past me, trying to understand everything that's happened. He reaches his hand down for jonah to take and pulls him up in to a 'Bro hug'
'I'm sorry Bro.  I shouldn't have let a girl get between us. She's all yours buddy' they pat each other on the back and I can see jonah's shoulders drop as he finally relaxes. They separate and Zach looks at me.
"It's okay if I give her a hug right?" Zach checks with jonah which was really unnecessary
"Bro you can hug whoever you like. Just don't get any ideas" jo and zach laughs.

" you may not be my girl, but there's no way your getting out of being my bestie" Zach smirks. We all walk back to the apartment and when we walk in the other 4 just look at us confusion all over their faces.

"It's a long story but everything's fine now" I explain.
"Everything's all good? Soo does that mean we can have pizza party to celebrate?" Jack laughs. We all cheer in agreement and pizza is ordered.

We spend the rest of the day like yesterday and it's like nothing ever happened. Nothing gets in the way of our friendship.

(I didn't know how to end it but I really didn't want the drama to last more than two chapters. Sorry)
