Jonah and I were stood in the middle of the street. His arms around my neck, mine around his waist. Eyes locked.

"E, you can trust me with anything. I love you"
"I love you too J, I promise I do and I trust you with everything..."
"Everything except this..." he finishes the sentence I couldn't bring myself to. The puppy dog eyes become him, they're all I can see. Teary puppy dog eyes. A tear slips down his cheek and I wipe it away for him.

"I trust you jonah, and I want to tell you this... but you can't hurt him okay?"
"Who?" He's stern now. Concerned.

"Zach..."
"What did he do to you?! I told him to keep his hands off! I told him your mine! How could he... "
"Jo?"
"What?" He half growls at me. "Oh baby I'm sorry, I'm not angry at you, I promise..."
"Jonah."
"Yes sweetheart?" He pulls me into a hug.
"It's all okay, I love you."
"Please don't leave me.." I hear him whisper. I pretend to not hear it, knowing I wasn't supposed to.

I hold him tightly against my chest as he cries. We're in the middle of the sidewalk, but it's quiet. I let him cry until he has nothing left to cry, he looks at me right in the eyes.

"Please tell me what Zach done..."

"He didn't do anything Jo, I haven't seen him since tour. But he text me a few days before I came to minnesota."

"Wh-what did he say?" He sniffles a bit and I hand him a tissue to wipe his nose. I pull out my phone and show him the texts.
