chapter ● 31

February 12th: third show of tour

It was the boys third show. We were in Texas, zachs home town. Things were different on tour. Jonah didn't have time for me and Daniel was too busy to notice me anymore. I kinda miss him being overprotective. They had rehearsals pretty much all day every day and when they were back at the bus they just wanted to sleep. Jonah was so tired he didn't even want to cuddle anymore her just wanted to sleep. I began to shut myself out. No one noticed. I was no longer loud and outgoing I was quiet and reserved.

"Hey baby" Jonah came and kissed me on the cheek.

"Hi"
"I've got rehearsal till 2 and then and interview till 3:35 but I'll be back by 4 and then I'm all yours. Okay babe?"
"K" I held his hand and kissed his knuckles. He looked at me concerned but I just gave him a smile.

"E, you've been off ever since we started tour what's wrong?" He picks me up but I don't cuddle into him like usual. I shrug my shoulders.
"Just tired I guess"
"Really? You think I'm gonna fall for that? Silly Muggle!"
He manages to make me laugh and I hug him.
"I'm just tired that's all."
" Well if you're tired you should nap and then when I get back later we can be the cute couple we are"
I smile and kiss his cheek.
"Okay"
"Stawwwpp"
"Stop what?!"

"Giving me one worded answers! Shutting me out! I just want to talk to you without feeling like I've hurt you!"

He put me down and walked out of the bus.
"Jonah! I'm sorry!...please!"
He doesn't even look back. He just keeps walking.
Zachs comes through with Reese on his back. He's so excited to be back with his family but then he sees me.
He puts Reese down and hands her a 5 dollar bill.
"Hey umm Reese,  go ask mom to take you to a store and you can spend that"

"What's wrong with evie"
"Reese go to the store"
"But!"
"Reese!"
"Okay okay I'm going!"
She gives me a hug.
"Please don't be sad. I don't know why but whenever your sad zach gets sad and doesn't play with me"
I give her a weak smile and kiss her cheek.

"Reese go to the store!" Reese jumped at zach shouting and walked out.

"What happened?" Zach sat next to me and I scooted away slightly. He lay his head on my shoulder but I nudged him off and went to walk away. He grabbed my arm and yanked me back down.

"Evie this is really starting to get on everyone's nerves"
"Oh what?! You guys actually notice me sometimes?!"
He looks confused
"What? Of course we notice you!"

"I'm sorry... I know it's not your fault that you're all busy but ever since tour started jonah hasn't had time for me, Daniel barely  acknowledges me, we never talk and goof off like we used two and I've only spoken to jack and Corbyn like twice. I just miss always being able to have you guys all the time.."

"You really feel that way?" I nod and he hugs me.
"Were going to find the rest of the boys, including jonah and we're All going to Chipotle and having today off"
"But your rehearsal and interview?"
"Well reschedule for tomorrow. We still have 3 days left in dallas." I smile and zach pulls me up to go find everyone else. Once we are all off the bus we have to find jonah.

We walk around for about 20 minutes until we finally found him. He was sat at the pond near zachs house talking to josh. As we get closer I hear what they're talking about... me.

"I just... I really love her. A lot"
"Jonah she loves you too. If you were zach I'd be so grateful that you'd found such a wonderful girl. And I'd tell you to hold on to her. She hasn't stopped loving you jonah, probably just has something on her mind."
"Thanks josh. You know you really are like a second dad to me"
Josh pat him on the back and nodded towards us.me specifically .
"I think you have visitors" jonah turns round and looked straight at me. I looked down and just burst into tears. He really thought I didn't love him? He came over and embraced me in a hug.

"I'm here baby girl.  I'm here" he rubbed my back and interlaced our fingers. I felt him run his finger over my ring a few times before he scooped  me up shouting
"Mine!"
I  giggled and he carried me all the way  to Chipotle walking slightly behind the others.

"So what was wrong? Don't say you were just tired. Please" he looks at me with the oh so familiar puppy dog eyes and I nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck. Explaining how i was scared that he would be to busy to spend time with me. He listened tentatively and when I finished he gave my a squeeze.

"I could never be too busy for you." We go to Chipotle and once we've eaten head back to the bus. Me and jonah cuddle up in his bunk watching cute fan edits of us and then Christina arrives. She had spent the day with her friend who lives in dallas that she hadn't seen in forever. She had missed all the drama and still expected me to be as distant as I was before so when she said hi and actually got a proper response she was pretty shocked.

"Wow you're actually interacting. Oh sorry, that was harsh!" I laugh her off.

"Nah its cool I was pretty distant but I feel better now."
I suddenly felt jonahs grip loosen around my waist and heard light snores coming from him. I laughed and decided to go to sleep too. It was quite squished with us both in the bunk but it made me feel safe.
