We were sat on his couch and he hadn't stopped playing with sawyer. He looked up at me with big eyes
"You found him in the woods? Why were you there in the first place? Is everything okay?"
"Uhhh" I looked down and started twiddling my thumbs
"Oh you don't have to say if you don't want to."he sounded embarrassed, I really wanted to tell him.
"No its fine umm my parents just fight a lot and I try to escape so I go to the woods"
"Evie I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked..."
"No it feels good to tell someone. I promise." I gave him a weak smile and he pulled me into a hug, kissing my forehead I could feel my cheeks heating up as I blushed. He looked down into my eyes and smiled.
"Thank you for trusting me Evie, and for bringing sawyer back" he ruffled sawyers ears and we laughed.
I lay my head on his shoulder as we awed of sawyer.
This is unreal.
