Which story do you guys me to write first? Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Peter Parker, Doctor Strange, or Cap/Iron Man? Also, do any of you like The Walking Dead? I LOVE The Walking Dead and I have a HUGE crush on Darryl, so naturally, I was thinking of writing a story for him but I was curious if any of you watch the show. Anyway, sorry for not updating frequently. Adulting sucks so it's not so easy for me right now. But enough of that. Look how cute this picture is. I found it on Twitter under the #snowbarry hastag and I'm pretty sure this is like a fan edit or something but it's too cute and it looks so real.
[Caitlin]
Caitlin was happy that things with Barry were going smooth. She liked studying with him and enjoyed getting to know him more. The following morning, Caitlin found Barry ready to go, and he turned to her with a smile on his face.
"Morning, Cait. I was hoping that we could go eat breakfast in the cafeteria."
"I'd love to. Let me get ready first."
Barry waited and when she was ready, they headed out and when they sat down to eat after getting their food, Caitlin saw a familiar face in the crowd.
"Ronnie, hey."
He looked over and smiled when he saw Caitlin calling him.
"Hey Caitlin. Hey Barry."
"Hi."
"Please, sit down."
Ronnie sat down next to Caitlin and Barry, the latter was uncomfortable as he wanted to be alone with Caitlin.
"I was thinking that maybe we could walk to Calculus together."
"She can't. I walk her to her class in the mornings."
Caitlin glanced at Barry, knowing he was jealous of Ronnie. "But you wouldn't mind if he walked me to class sometimes, right Barry?"
She gave him a look which made him sigh. "I guess not."
"Then you can walk me tomorrow, Ronnie."
"Sounds great."
When Caitlin and Barry finished their breakfast, Caitlin said goodbye to Ronnie while Barry mumbled his goodbye. When the two were out of visible sight, Caitlin stopped and crossed her arms.
"What was that?"
"What?"
"You were jealous. I know you were, even though I told you that you don't have any reason to be."
Barry sighed. "I know. I just want to be the only one you spend time with."
"But I have to spend time with other people, not just you. I mean, I haven't spent any time with Cisco, and I haven't spoken to Felicity in a few days."
"But you know that Cisco leaves us alone any chance he gets. And Felicity's probably busy."
"But they're still my friends."
"And what am I then?"
"You're my roommate. I'm practically forced to see you."
Barry furrowed his eyebrows as a frown settled on his face. "Is that what you think this is?"
"Barry-"
"You think that I'm spending time with you only because we're roommates? I love spending time with you and I'd do it even if we weren't." Barry glanced at the ground.
"And I thought you felt the same."
"I do."
Barry glanced up at her again. "You expect me to believe that with what you just said? Maybe Ronnie should walk you to class today. Because I just don't feel like doing it now."
Caitlin watched as he walked off and left her alone. She didn't mean what she said. Her poor choice of words had caused their first argument in awhile, but now she was able to talk to Ronnie without Barry. So, she headed back to the cafeteria and was lucky that Ronnie was just about to leave.
"Caitlin? I thought Barry was walking you to class?"
"He was, but he had to leave. You still up for it?"
"Of course."
Caitlin smiled at him and the two began to walk to Calculus together. As they walked, she got to know him more and more and decided that he was a good person and maybe they could be friends.
[Barry]
Barry missed Caitlin deeply, but what she had said hurt his heart a lot that he couldn't look at her. He thought things were going smoothly. He thought she liked being around him.
He thought they were friends.
It was midday and Barry had half and hour to spare before his next class, so he sat on a bench near the library.
"Barry?"
He turned to find Cisco approaching him. "Hi Cisco."
"You look terrible."
"Caitlin and I got into an argument."
"I thought things were going well between you two."
"They were but this Ronnie guy came into the picture and Caitlin started telling me that she doesn't want to spend all her time with me, that we're just roommates."
"Who's Ronnie?"
"Some guy in her Calculus class."
They were silent before Cisco broke it. "I think you should give her space. And I think you need some space from her too. She clearly wants Ronnie to be her friend if they have a class together but you clearly are jealous of him for some reason. Why are you jealous of him?"
"He's too...charming to her. He always around and stares at her like she's the only thing he sees."
"Oh. So basically the same way you look at her?"
Barry glanced at him. "What? I don't look at her that way. Why would you say that?"
"Dude, I've seen you many times staring at her. The way you described Ronnie looking at her is the same way you look at her. You like her, dude."
"You know what I think? I think you're crazy."
"Call me crazy but someday you'll tell me that I was right."
Barry shook his head silently and silence washed over them.
"Well, this was an interesting talk." Cisco spoke after awhile. "I'll leave you to your thoughts and feelings alone."
Cisco walked away and Barry sighed. He wasn't jealous of Ronnie, or had any feelings for Caitlin whatsoever. Caitlin was his friend, or at least he thought they were.
But from that point in time, things between Caitlin and Barry would never be the same.
