[Narrator]

It was Christmas

Everyone was awake early in the morning, and everyone, except for Nora and Henry went to do some last minute shopping. Barry was a lone wolf and went to do his own thing while everyone else stuck together.

"Has he said anything to you?"

Natalie and Caitlin were trying to find something for their mother so they could bring it when they went over. Natalie's father still hadn't called or found her, so Natalie was calm and happy.

"No, he hasn't."

"I'm sure he will. Maybe he's just waiting for the right time."

"Or maybe he doesn't want to tell me how he really feels."

Caitlin walked away and Natalie sighed before going after her. Cisco was getting a flower when Simone walked up to him.

"Nice flower."

"It's for you."

Simone glanced at him. "Really?"

Cisco nodded as he handed it to her. She sniffed it as he spoke.

"There's something I wanted to ask you."

"Sure. What's up?"

"Do you want to be my girlfriend? Because I'd really like to be your boyfriend."

Simone smiled before nodding. "Yes."

The florist smiled as the two kissed and soon they went on their way. Jessica and Finn were looking around when Finn stopped her.

"What are you doing?"

"Look up."

Jessica glanced up at the ceiling to find a mistletoe hanging from it.

"I guess we have to go along with it."

Jessica smiled at him. "You don't need a plant to kiss me, you doof."

The two shared a kiss and then a hug as Cisco and Simone caught up to them. They all kept shopping for presents when they caught up with Caitlin and Natalie. They all went to look for Barry who was sitting alone by himself with bags surrounding him.

"Barry, there you are."

He stood up and got his bags. "Are you guys ready?"

They headed back to Barry's car and headed back home. All the presents were underneath the tree and they all sat down to watch the Christmas movies that they were playing on TV.

Meanwhile, Natalie's father was heading to Carla's house with fumes coming out of his ears at the revelation that Natalie was not registered in college. Once he got to the house, he stormed up to the door and pounded on it.

"Hunter, what is going on with you?"

Carla opened the door and he made his way in.

"My daughter isn't in college! She lied to me! I didn't know she was stupid."

"Natalie isn't stupid, Hunter. And of course she's in college."

"No, because I went down their myself and she's not in the system. She's been hanging around that kid of your dead husband. That's why she's acting like this."

"Caitlin loves Natalie. She's never a bad influence to her. And another thing. You don't have the right to tell her to stay on campus for Christmas. You have no idea how Caitlin cares and loves her sister. Natalie told me what you told her, and I am so ashamed and disgusted by your actions and attitude toward my daughters. So I don't want you to ever come near me or them ever again."

Hunter stared at Carla before leaving her. She sighed when she watched him speed off and went to stare at a picture of Thomas.

"I'll protect them, just like I promised."

Back at the Allen household, they were just getting ready for dinner. Everyone paired off respectfully, and when Caitlin didn't even glance at him, he almost wanted to pour his heart out. But he didn't, as it wasn't time yet.

"Thank you all for being here again. Natalie, Kai and Simone, you're welcome to come back for every holiday, just like the rest of you. Henry and I are happy to have you here and to have our Barry back safe and sound. Now please, dig in. And Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas."

After dinner, they all gathered in the living room to give out the presents. Everyone got different things for Nora and Henry, feeling the need to give them something for letting them stay in their home. Once all of the gifts were given, Henry and Barry shared a look. Barry stood up and sighed.

"I know that all of you probably know that something has been going on. It's not that hard to tell. But now I can finally get everything off of my chest." Barry walked over and stood in front of Caitlin. "I didn't know you saw what happened. But it's not what you think. She kissed me and I pushed her away. I didn't want to kiss her. Not when I have you to do that with. You might not believe me, but it's true. And the reason I didn't tell you anything was because I waiting for the right moment, this moment. The reason I didn't kiss her back is because I felt like I was cheating on you, betraying you. The last thing I want to do it hurt you. So when you ran out of my room, I was heartbroken. I knew I had hurt you, even when I didn't mean to. I went for a walk to clear my head, and I found a shop. I got you a present and with it, comes this. Caitlin, I am so hopelessly in love with every little thing about you. Everyday is a new day with you, and a new day to learn something new. I didn't think anything good would come out of being roommates with the girl I accidentally bumped into who didn't like me. And I surely didn't expect to grow feelings for you. But I know that I love you with all my heart. And there's no one I'd rather be with than you. So, Caitlin Snow, will you please be my girlfriend?"

Caitlin sniffled. "Barry, you have changed my whole life. It's true, I didn't like you at first, but I can tell you now that I love you too. And yes, I would love to be your girlfriend."

She stood up and kissed him and he instantly kissed back. Nora and Henry shared a smile, happy that their son found love. Everyone else either wolf whistled or smiled, happy that they finally got together.

"It's about damn time."

Barry pulled away and chuckled as he glanced down at the box. He opened it and pulled out the ring, which was two hearts together. He placed it on the ring finger of her right hand and kissed her one more time.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."
