Ashlyn
I walked out of Axel's room feeling an immense amount of relief. I was a little scared that he would turn down my offer. I mean we aren't together, but I have a feeling that we are together. I mean I just sat in his lap for goodness sakes, doesn't that count as being together?
Not likely, you haven't even kissed and he hasn't made any move towards making you his girlfriend. The darker side of my thoughts pounded through because of my anxiety.
I rounded a corner and was headed back to my room. I needed to debrief with my girls. In truth, I haven't really told them the whole story when it came to Axel and I. They knows bits and pieces, but not the most important parts and I needed their help in deciphering me and Axel's relationship.
I finally made it to my room and I heard giggling from behind the door. Good, my girls are home.
I walked into the room, and saw Becca and Izzie hysterically laughing on Izzie's bed. A pang of jealousy went through me.
"Hey guys," I walked into the room and put my bag on the floor next to my bed.
"Hey Ash," they said in unison.
Their closeness made me not even want to tell them what's been happening, but I decided to do so anyway.
"Sooooo" I said, drawing out my O's to get their attention. They looked up at me from across the bed.
"What's up?" Izzie said, looking over at me.
"Axel and I have been hanging out quite a bit lately, but he still hasn't said anything about dating or getting together?" I rushed out. I knew I sounded a little pathetic and that I was a bad-ass women who didn't need a man by her side, but my life would be a little sunnier with Axel in it.
"Have you told him how you feel?" Becca said, looking a little bored with the topic.
"I haven't yet, I've been waiting for him to bring it up first." I replied deciding to ignore her attitude.
"Whelp, there's your problem," She replied. "You gotta man up and tell him how you feel."
The finality of her tone making it clear that she was done with the topic and that her advice was given.
"Why do I have to be the one to ask him first?" I questioned. "I feel like the guy should ask the girl-
"Which is why you are in this situation in the first place" Becca finished. She let out a breath of air, and sighed. "Just ask him."
Becca's bored attitude was rubbing me the wrong way, and I wasn't here for it at all. All I did was walk into our room and ask her and Izzie for advice, like best friends are supposed to do. Why is she acting like my mere presence was an annoyance to her.
"I'm sorry is there a problem?" I blinked at Becca, wondering where the beef was at?
My small outburst seemed to have shocked her. She looked taken aback, but then I could see the decision was made.
"Yeah, there is," She stood up from the bed. She looked like she was ready to let it all out. Although I had no idea what "it" was. I was honestly just confused by the whole situation. I crossed my arms in front of my chest defensively, waiting for the attack. Izzie just watched us, looking back and forth, like a deer caught in headlights.
"I am sick and tired of you talking about Axel" She fumed. "It's Axel this, and Axel that. Like when did you become this person? Does your life revolve around him or something? Like you didn't even ask us how we've been doing just now."
