It was 9 AM and Disney was crowded per usual. I watched as droves of people invaded the park. Families of one, two, seven, and twenty all came to the park on this very special day. You would think people would stay home on Thanksgiving, but every year I've been here it's been packed with people.

I was just praying that the crowds of people didn't trigger another anxiety attack. After the last one I had to beg my Dad just to let me go. I couldn't ruin this for Izzie or Becca either, they were super excited about coming here this year. I guess we all sort of needed the break.

After the last anxiety attack, I ended up waking up in the emergency room. Apparently, the school didn't want to take any risk and had me taken to the hospital via ambulance. Thank God I have insurance. Kyle told me that everyone in the cafe was shook when it happened. Apparently I had started gasping loudly and shaking violently, catching the attention of many. At first, it was thought that I was having an asthma attack, because it looked as if I couldn't breathe, but that was later cleared up when I got to the hospital.

My Dad picked me up and had been keeping a close eye on my ever since. I was excused from classes for the rest of the week and I was able to start my vacation early. Monday morning my brother came to the house. Mom dropped him off bright and early. We had a moment and she left the following day. Yesterday evening, Kyle, Izzie, and Becca came over to my house. But Axel never showed up.

I'm sure he's heard about my anxiety attack by now, but apparently he's been awol. Even Kyle can't get in touch with him. I've been texting him all week, but there hasn't been one answer, even though all the text messages have been read. I sighed at the thought. He was my rock, where was he?

I felt an elbow hit my ribs and I looked up startled. Izzie smirked at me and gestured for me to start walking.

"Your Dad just handled the tickets, so we can go in now." She hooked her arm through mine and lead the way. Becca and Kyle were on the other side of us.

"It's time for some fun girl," Becca chimed in, " enough, of this melodramatic shadow you have over yourself. Screw Axel."

Becca's attempt at empowering me, only drove a knife through my heart. I smiled at her as best I could. Who was I right now? All choked up over guy? Me? NEVER.

"You're right!" I said trying muster up the energy needed to conquer Disney. " I won't dwell on him anymore. Let's seize the day."

We had the day all planned out, visit Magical kingdom in the morning, then around 1 pm go to Hollywood Studios and and then back to the Magical Kingdom for the parade, fireworks and dinner, around 6 pm.

I was trying not to make this day all about me and have a huge pity party like I would normally do. Growth is hella hard. All I wanted to do was go back to bed.

I looked over to the left of me where Kyle and Becca were and Kyle gave a thumbs up as a signal of approval.

"Let's do this!" Kyle shouted and hauled us all towards the looming castle.

My Dad and brother were right behind us, talking amongst themselves. My Dad saw me looking at him and gave me a small wave and a questioning look as if to say, "Is this alright? Do you want to leave?"

I smiled widely at him in order to assuage his worries. He seemed satisfied with my answer and smiled back. My Dad thinks that my mood has to do with my anxiety, which in a small way it does, but it has more to do with Axel ghosting on me.

I turned and marched forward with my family and friends.

Axel

By the time I got to the park it was noon. I woke up later than intended and it screwed up my plans. I couldn't drive because my leg was all casted up, so I ended up taking a bus and taxi. I have never seen the park this crowded before. The guy at the booth where you pay for your tickets said that Thanksgiving was apparently one of the busiest days, right behind Christmas and New Years. Who would have thought?
