Axel

I followed my sister up two flights of steps and into an empty exam room. She flicked on the lights and turned towards me.

"Table, now." Her voice left no room for discussion. I sat down on the table.

"What the hell have you gotten yourself into Axel?" She seemed more shocked than anything.

"I didn't even think you knew where I worked and out of nowhere you show up at my job."

She bent down to exam my encased leg. She turned around and started pulling open draws and opening the cabinets.

"Aha!" She pulled out a saw out of one of the cabinets and went back over to my leg. She turned it on and proceed to cut open the cast.

"I mean seriously Axel and to top it all off, you show up with a bunch of humans and a human mate out of everything. A human freaking mate and a black one at that. Mom and Dad will have field day with that one." Her voice rose over the sound of the saw. She actually seemed highly amused.

I winced as she started to cut down the cast.

"What happened to 'believe in yourself?' 'the goddess choose you for a reason?" I threw her words back at her.

"Oh shut-up," she shot back. "I believed in every word I spoke, but I highly doubt the other members of the pack will come to terms as quickly. I mean a human fucking Luna? That's wild bro." She sawed through the cast as if it was nothing.

She wasn't wrong in her assumptions. A human luna was a lot to take in. Especially for the older generation. Also, it's not that my parents are racist per say, they just don't have much experience with black people, besides what they see on TV. I'm sure they will love her though, as will the rest of the pack. They just needed time, which I'm afraid they might not have much of.

"Hey, your the one who suggested we go to the pack anyways." I was starting to get annoyed with her 'helpful' comments.

"It's the safest place for you both at this point. I didn't want to scare your friends, but the attack today didn't just happen in 'Florida. It's all over the country. Werewolves are taking over the streets right now. It's not safe for you all out there."

I nodded my head. I agreed.

She finally got to the end of the cast and it broke apart. My leg looked horrible. It was green, blue and black.

"When did you say you got this wound?" She questioned. Doctor Black was back.

"I don't know exactly, over a week ago to be for sure." She nodded as I told her my bizzare story with the pack on the Everglades. I even told her about seeing the Alpha in wolf form chowing down on a human and seeing Jaxon again.

She nodded her head and said little during my story. When I got to the last part she tensed up. She tapped my leg a couple of time and stood up straight leaning on the counter. She waited for me to finished before she spoke.

"Well, it's just as I thought. Your leg should have definitely been healed by now." I looked down at my near dead leg. "You leg looks like it was re-set a couple of times and shot with silver."

"What?!?" I shouted out.

"Yeah, even with your leg being mangled like you said, it still should have healed within a week. I mean your an Alpha after all. They probably kept you sedated the whole time, until they had their story set. "
