Dear Joey,

Duke turned up today, before school. Needless to say, I was definitely surprised. We had spent the evening and most of the night together, asking each other quick fire questions as way of getting to know one and another, so I figured Duke would go back to being his usual popular self at school, keeping whatever happened between us to just that; between us.

So when he showed this morning, knocking on my door with far too much enthusiasm considering it was before 10AM, I was very much confused. Mom had invited him in quickly, practically throwing eggs and bacon towards him without even asking. It was a pleasant surprise, yes, but still a surprise to be serving the schools golden boy coffee at half seven in the morning. He explained to me that he thought we should head to school with each other, because, and I quote, "After spending yesterday with you, I have discovered the other guys have really dumb conversations."

I'll be honest, I was flattered, Joe. Well, as flattered as you can be when your told you're smarter than the dumbest idiots in the school.

However, we reached a problem when we waved Mom goodbye, and were stood in the driveway, staring at his car parked next to my bike. He started towards his door, before I grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back till his back collided with my chest. I was not going to school without my bike.

"Where do you think your going?" I asked, amused. Duke looked confused.

"My car, so we can go to school." He explained slowly, as if I wouldn't understand him. I chuckled.

"There is no way," I intertwined his fingers with my own, smiling slightly when his arm broke out in goosebumps. "that I am going to school without my bike. Jump on with me." I pulled him towards my bike, before he dug his heels in, refusing to move.

"But it makes no sense!" He exclaimed, flustered. "My car is bigger and more comfortable, so why bother with the bike?" Duke was laughing nervously, and I grinned when I put two and two together. Aw, he was scared.

"Duke," I turned towards him, placing my hands on his cheeks. "Its completely safe. I promise. I will not let you fall off." I assured him, grinning slightly. Duke snorted nervously.

"I'm not scared, God." He bluffed, and I raised an eyebrow, disbelieving. "It just makes more sense to take my car, as its bigger, and I won't have to come back to get it later."

I laughed and moved my hands from his face to his waist, yanking his body into mine. I watched happily as Dukes eyes went as wide as saucers, and he gulped.

"Are you saying," I bent down to whisper in his ear, "that you didn't want to come over tonight? Hmmm?" I teased and he shuddered. Duke started to nod quickly.

"N-no! I do, I j-just, um-" He stuttered, before I interrupted my pressing my lips forcefully onto his own. Seeing him all flustered like that was just too cute.

"Duke, you will not fall off, I will not let you." I whispered, brushing my lips over his, more gently. I felt his body relax, and he sighed.

"Fine." He groaned. "But if I die, I will fucking kill you." I slapped his back and grinned.

"There we go." I encouraged, proud of my convincing skills. I bent down and grabbed a spare helmet from the porch, deciding against the bright pink one I got for Mom a few months back. I had a feeling, with his nervousness, making a joke like that wouldn't help the situation.

"Here." I passed it to him, and Duke smiled nervously at me in return. He was so scared. I resisted the urge to laugh again.

As usual, I threw my leg over the side of the bike and pushed the helmet onto my head, grinning at Dukes hesitation. Slowly, his leg reached over, and he pulled himself onto the seat, taking a deep breath as he latched his arms around my waist. I started the engine, but put the bike in stationary, as I turned around and said:
