Chapter 02 | Cloud * RESTRICTED

"She's having what?" I snarled.
Caden threw up his hands in defence as my glory shone under my skin. Lucifer my darling husband and now king of hell shot me a warning look. I gritted my teeth and sat back down on my throne chair. Mine had replaced Lucas's as he now stood.
Sucker.
"Blood lust is normal for demons," Kitty tried to calm me.
Which it did not. That meant not only would my daughter who had mixed, dangerous blood, but also my son whom was full demon would feel these damn effects. My anger blazed through me, this was all Lucas's fault.
A knock at the door, and our heads looked up. The oak and golden enchanted door opened and Vidan sauntered in eating a slice of cake. Despite the situation, I beamed at him. He most definitely had gotten that sweet tooth from me.
"I don't have any blood lust; why not?" he hummed tilting his head.
"Because you're too much like your father," Caden grumbled.
"So what? Odelia's like me?" I demanded feeling a little offended.
Knowing looks passed by Caden and Lucas, and Kit and my son merely smiled. I couldn't help my mouth twitch into a smile myself. Maybe Odelia was too much like me but that, definitely wasn't a bad thing.
"Just as well, her sneaking to the arena is enough of a thirst for you both," Lucas sighed.
That was true. If she was sneaking out to throw herself into a fight over and over just to satisfy whatever darkness she was fighting then this was serious. I smoothed my hand over the long gown I wore trying to think.
The question was, do we stop her and threaten to make her thirst caged in – or do we allow our daughter to constantly put herself into harm's way over and over? Both were horrible but, which was even worse?
"Can I say my opinion?" Vidan spoke quietly, thoughtful.
Lucas smirked at our son, "isn't that why you came?"
"I say let her. But send her with someone who can watch every move she makes and someone who can trust her," he told us.
I nodded, looking over at Lucas who seemed to agree. But, she would never agree to such terms. Which meant she couldn't know we had a guard on her. Which made me think of Eric Flame. One of Virgeo's half demons, the fire one. He had aged as slowly as all of the others – making him to appear about the same age as Odelia and Vidan.
Not to mention, those half demons were very close to Vidan.
I glanced over at him, his black hair was unkept despite how many times I had begged him to brush it, and his grey eyes were bright but also full of caution. But then, so were Odelia's. That was how they were raised. It just wasn't how they fought. Odelia was a spit fire, and Vidan was a chess player. So to speak.
"Vidan, how would you feel if Eric hung out for a bit?" I asked.
His eyes brightened, at mention of his friend.
"Absolutely not. I have seen how that boy looks at Odelia," Lucas snarled.
I merely rolled my eyes and ignored him. Of course boys stared at Odelia, she was gorgeous. However, they also knew to keep it in their pants or the king of hell would kill them, but not before the queen tortured.
