If you're reading this then you have finally finished The Devil's Claim trilogy.  Which means, I have finally finished writing the saga. I'm not going to lie, it was a very emotional journey that I did have a hard time completing.

I started the series in grade 10 - four years ago now. This was one journey that helped shape my life and thus, it was hard saying goodbye. But, in order for me to grow as a writer, sometimes goodbyes must be done in order to start a new adventure!

TEASER:

There was a storm, rolling in the distance. Through the long rip in the curtain that covered my cage I could see it. The angry clouds crackling and grumbling. I scooted across the wooden floor of the cage towards the sliver of the outside world, wincing as the chains on my wrists and feet burned.

Outside, we rolled past a port, I could see the ocean and I could smell the crystals of salt in the air. How long had it been since I had felt sand beneath my feet, or felt water flow past my limbs? The chains creaked as I leaned forward and I sighed softly. I'd never be free, if not a prisoner here then someone else would capture me.

"Halt!" A voice cut through the air and the carriage stopped suddenly.

My breath caught in my throat - were we here already?

I looked up at the slit, the port still in the distance. Why had we stopped then? Something uneasy grew in my gut and I scooted back until I wedged myself into the corner of the cage as if that could hide me. I could hear the two men that had been my escorts talking to someone, then silence.

I began to shake with fear, the curtain was suddenly pulled off the cage and I froze. Standing at the back of the carriage on the sandy path was two guards dressed in gold, a woman dressed in a light, cloth dress holding a white umbrella for a man. The umbrella covered his face but I could make out the long white locks of his hair and the suit he wore.

"I thought you were transporting exotic pets," the strange man hummed lowly.

I tilted my head towards the two men that had been transporting me, who were no longer confidant and arrogant but shaking with fear. My eyes drifted back to the man with the white locks and frowned slightly – who was he?

TEASER:

Supposedly God's most favoured creation - the humans. For whatever reason, they were picked to rule over all else. When a mortal is born with a soul as pure as an angel, they were given power far beyond the ideology of merely "Light" and "Dark"; they were given the power of the universe with the gift of magic.

These keepers told nothing about their purpose, soon brandished themselves with the label of "witches". Then something evil came. Something far beyond darkness, something that could shatter the very universe itself. These gifted mortals danced a very dangerous dance, trying to surpass the power they were gifted and although their souls (by design) stayed pure their hearts did not.

And then with the birth of a new aspect of "Light" and "Dark", realms were made, and the hunt begun.

A hunt Maeve Bishop was just dragged into head first with no warning by the arrogant, ego high, very attractive witch Norman Haze.
