"Mom, dad. I uh, I want to be honest with you guys. I'm, uh I'm gay." For four seconds there was a weight off my shoulders.
"You're what!" My father says and I feel my heart drop.
"I'm gay dad I like;" Instantly I'm slapped in the face by my mom. Everything was silent for a moment.
As the first tear rolls down my cheeks.
"We didn't raise you to be some faggot. You know you're going to hell right?" She says shocking me completely because we were not religious. We had one bible in the house that was a housewarming gift. We only went to church on Easter. I was more church going than them. Of course my mom mentioned god a lot but it was never to the point where I felt like my sexuality would be a problem.
"Why don't you straighten yourself out. Get right with the lord and put this sickness behind you." My father says.
"Sickness? What is this the eighteenth century?" I say slightly pissed. His mouth clenched and I sigh.
"Go now." He says and I turn to go upstairs only for my father to grab my arm.
"Not here, not in my house." He says and my heart breaks.
"Ok." I say before stopping. Trying not to cry anymore.
"Fine." I tell him before grabbing my shoes and walking out.
I walked down the street for three minuets only making it to the local park before dropping like a brick and starting to cry on the side walk.
What could I do? I had no friends, no family, all I had was my parents. I should have kept my mouth closed. Where could I go? I had no money no;
"Hey." Someone says and I look up to see a man with long black hair and slight stubble on his face. He was in the middle of smoking a cigarette wearing a suit only loosely.
"Cry in the grass I'm walking here." He says and I nod stand up walk two feet and start to cry again in the grass.
I'm not sure how long I stat there in cried but after a while I had tired myself out and I had no where to go so with a heavy heart I walked over to the play area and sleeping at the top.
I was woken up by a nudge against my face and I sit up hoping it was my father telling that this had blown up out of proportion.
But no it was the guy from earlier.
He hit me in the face with a soft drink cup and I sit up.
"Don't sleep here you'll get arrested." He says handing me the cup and bag and I remember that I was alone with no were to go and start to cry.
"I don't have anywhere to go." I tell him and he sighs.
"What you're parents throw you out." He says and I nod. He then placed a hand on my head causing me to feel surprisingly I felt better.
Good enough to eat the food he brought soon we sat in the silence for watching the sky.
"Can you fax?" He says and I turn to him.
"Yeah. I want to be an author so I'm great with computers and faxing and printing." I tell him and he smiles slightly.
"What about cooking?" He ask and I smile.
"Yeah I've been cooking since I was thirteen." I tell him and he nods.
"OK I can give you room and board but you'll have an around the clock job and you'll have your work cut out for you. Cooking cleaning and you'll be my assistant. But I can take you in now and you wont have to sleep in this park." He says and I smile.
