A few months later.
Five, four, three, two, one... Happy New Year everybody!
The guests raised their champagne flutes to countdown the New Year. When the New Year had ended, some kissed their partners while the others drank their champagne in one gulp and refilled it.
''Happy New Year, Sarah.'' Phil said as he gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek. He was wearing a suit like all the other men in the room, while the women were wearing elegant floor length dresses or cocktail dresses. Everybody looked as if they were at a red carpet event.
''Happy New Year, Phil.'' I said as I returned the hug and turned to face Kylie. ''Happy New Year, Kylie. You get prettier by the second.''
''Oh darling, you must be looking into your own reflection, Happy New Year, Sarah.'' She said as she gave me a hug.
The fireworks display could be seen from the balcony of Phil's house, where a lot of the guests were standing. Kylie and I joined them to admire the fireworks; this New Year already seemed good.
Damon wrapped his arms from behind me and kissed me. ''Happy new year baby, lets make it a good one.''
"Happy new year to you too." I told him as I kissed him again.
"Ill catch you later, excuse me." Damon said as he removed his hands from my waist.
"What? Where are you going?" I frowned a little, confused as to why he would leave me here.
"I'm just going to talk to an old friend of mine, I will be back." And with that he rushed back inside.
After everyone had gone back inside and fifteen drinks later I noticed that Damon wasn't back yet.
"Phil, have you by any chance seen Damon?" I asked, starting to worry a little.
"No, I haven't seen him in the past hour, maybe he's in the garden?" He suggested, while waving at a few people that passed.
"Thanks, I'll go check there." Just as I was about to make my way towards the garden I saw Damon coming down the stairs. He looked a little shaken up and almost tripped down the stairs. He didn't come next to me; instead he went straight to get a drink.
"Hey Phil, baby, you sure know how to throw a wild party! I found some people sniffing coke in the bathroom!" Kylie said as she joined us again and started to dance with Phil.
I didn't listen to Phil's response instead my eyes focused on Damon who was drinking and laughing with a random stranger. I noticed that his eyes were bloodshot. I prayed to god that he hadn't done anything stupid that night.

After we said our goodbyes I drove Damon and I back to our apartment.
Once we were finally inside we staggered our way to the bedroom. I removed my nude pumps and took of my new diamond earrings off, the pair Damon bought me for Christmas. I was trying to get the zipper undone, but couldn't.
''Need some help with that?'' Damon asked as he made his way over to me.
''Yes, please.'' I replied.
He slowly unzipped my evening dress, letting it fall gently off of me. His thumb grazed my back, sending electric shocks throughout my body. God, I loved his touch.
I turned around to face him and undid his tie. He grabbed my face forcing me to look at him and he kissed me hungrily, as if it was the last time he was going to kiss me. Not breaking the kiss I undid every single button on his shirt and my palms were on his manly chest. He left a trail of kisses from my lips to my jaw and attacked my neck, leaving marks all the way.
