Something touched me and I jumped up, my legs still wobbling beneath me. I fell back onto the chair, heart beating in surprise.
''Sorry dear, didn't mean to scare you.'' Mrs. Anderson said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
''You made it?'' I asked, rubbing sleep from my eyes.
''Yes, we got in about an hour ago.'' She said tears in her eyes. ''How are you holding up?''
''Not good.'' I said, my eyes started to get watery.
''Stay strong, Sarah. You need to be strong for him.'' She said grabbing a chair and sat next to me, as we both looked at Phil.
This woman have been through a lot. First she lost her daughter, now she might lose her son. Oh, what am I saying! Phil will get through this, he is strong!
''Darling, I'm going to get some coffee, do you want to join me?'' Mr. Anderson asked his wife.
''Yes, dear. I need some coffee. Sarah would you like to come with us?'' She asked me, smiling.
''No, thank you. I think I'm going to stay right here.'' I shuffled in my uncomfortable seat.
''Are you sure?'' Mr. Anderson asked, his eyes worried.
''Yes.'' I whispered.
''Very well dear.'' He said, walking out of the room with his wife.
I looked around the white room as my eyes fell of Phil's motionless body. He looked the same as he did last night. His eyes were shut as his chest continued to grow before sinking with each shallow breath.
I was wearing the same outfit, but it didn't matter. My legs felt stiff from the awkward position I was sleeping in.
I leaned forward and grabbed his hand lacing our fingers together.
''I know you can't hear me right now and I feel really silly talking to myself, but I need you to wake up. I need to see those beautiful hazel eyes of yours, I need to kiss you and feel you kiss me back. My dear Phil, I've put you through hell and back and you don't know how much I regret being a bitch to you.'' I said sucking in my breath. ''I am so in love with you and I know you love me too, so I'm promising you I will find out who did this, that's my oath you, handsome.'' I cried, putting my head in my arms. ''Wake up. Please.'' I pleaded.
I got up from my seat and headed outside to make a quick phone call.
''Hello?'' Jensen said on the other line.
''Hey, Jensen. It's me, Sarah.'' I said.
''Is everything alright? How's Phil?'' He asked.
''Same like yesterday. Hey, I need a favor from you. Please.'' I begged.
''Sure, anything. Tell me.''
