We spent the first two days watching marathons of movies we both liked. We got up at least two in the afternoon and stayed up late till three in the morning, but today was different.
The sunlight glazed through the window, as I opened my eyes slowly. Soon enough I saw my bedroom door opening and Phil came running into my room, making sure he jumps and lands on me.
''Ugghh, Phil get off of me,'' I said as I tried to breathe.
''You're a year older, not sixty!'' Phil said as he laughed.
''But you're heavy and I think you've broken all my ribs!'' I exaggerated.
''Alright, fine,'' he huffed as he sat next to me, dragging me down with him, so I was resting my head on his chest.
''So, I was wondering, today we could go for a stroll in the park, maybe have a picnic and we'll celebrate our way on Saturday, what do you think?''
''Sí, I like that.'' I smiled.
''So, come on let's get ready it's almost noon!'' he said as he got up and lifted me on his shoulders.
''You know I can walk, right?''
''Yeah, but, it's your birthday and today you get special treatment.'' He chuckled softly.
''I could use some.'' I smiled.
''I know,'' he said as he smacked my butt.
''Ouch!'' I shouted as he kept laughing at me.

''Are you ready yet?'' Phil's voice echoed through the whole house.
''Almost,'' I said as I finished straightening out my hair. I was wearing my pale slim fit jeans, and my white blouse along with black sandals and a flower hair band. I added nude lip gloss to my lips and simple black eyeliner to my eyes. I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs.
As I was climbing down the stairs I heard clapping.
''You look stunning!''
''Gracias, Phil.'' I said as I kissed his cheek.
''Let's go, Princess,'' he said as he took his hand out for me to hold.
''Hey, I wanted to ask you something.'' I said scratching the tip of my nose. ''Aren't you supposed to work?''
''I took the week off, I need a break.'' He smiled.
''Oh, I see.'' I replied. ''Would you mind if we swung by at Mrs. Casilla's restaurant?''
''No, I haven't seen her in ages.'' He said, his eyes filled with glee.
''Great, let's go.''

''Wow, this place changed.'' Phil gasped as we walked into the restaurant.
It was a white tablecloth restaurant, which was always busy and worth waiting for. The employees were young, smart and super friendly along with their boss, Mrs. Casilla.
''Yeah, but it's mostly the same from the inside, the old kitchen is still there and the frames and plants, and-''
''I get it, Sarah.'' Phil said cutting me off.
