''Hey, it's me again. I know you don't want to talk to me, but I really am sorry for what I said. Please call me back. I miss you, Princess. My life isn't the same without you, Sarah. Please forgive me.''
''Please, talk to me. I really miss you. It's been a week, Sarah. Please, come back home. I miss you, Princess.''
''I am so sorry for the way I acted. I was a jackass and I shouldn't have judged you. Forgive me, Sarah. Please.''
''I know I hurt you, but please answer my calls. I miss you. These two weeks have been like hell without you here, with me. Princess, forgive me.''
I tried not to cry as I replayed Phil's messages over and over again, but I failed as I watched all my surroundings begin to grow blurry while my eyes filled up with water. Waterfalls of sad and angry tears rolled down my cheeks, making it impossible to see anything. I couldn't breathe properly. I knew I couldn't stop the tears from flowing, but I wasn't going to let the loud sobs escape my lips; not yet at least.
I felt someone's arm wrap around my waist, a head nuzzling into my neck.
''I hate seeing you like this.'' Damon muttered from behind me. ''If it hurts this bad, why don't you call him?'' He asked...the same question I had been asking myself for the past hour.
Damon rolled me over so he was looking at me, his expression grave, his face ashen. He was wearing a blue fitted shirt and a grey sweatpants.
''What's going on?'' He asked quietly. ''Talk to me.''
''It hurts.'' I whispered, my tears ceased.
''So, why don't you do something about it?''
I stared down at my hands, incapable of answering. I was a mess, but I was still doing nothing about it.
''I take it that you don't know what to do, right?'' He asked.
I flushed. ''I thought I did.''
''Babe, you have to make up your mind. It's not worth it crying over a guy for hours. Pretty girls like you should be adored not broken down.''
I peeked up at him. His eyes were gazing at mine, shining bright.
''What do you think I should do?'' I asked.
''I think you're old enough to make your own decisions. You're a big girl, Sarah.'' He narrowed his eyes. ''Look, if you miss him, call him, if you think what he said is unforgiveable then leave him...It's your choice.'' He stared at me.
''It's a hard one.'' I huffed.
''Everything in life is hard, you just have to kick it's ass.'' He grinned. ''Nothing worth having is easy. You have to fight for it.'' He sighed, running a hand through his hair. ''You have to be your own hero sometimes.''
''You amaze me everyday, you know that?'' I whispered, making him smile.
''I'm just looking out for my girl.'' He closed his eyes, leaning down, kissing me on the lips.
''I love you, Damon.''
''I love you, too.'' He smiled. ''Why don't you rest for a bit, huh?''
''Can you stay with me?'' My voice hopeful.
''Of course...lie down.'' He ordered.
I slowly slipped under the covers, staring at him. He leaned up on one elbow, staring down at me.
''Close your eyes, baby.'' He murmured, running a hand through my hair, slowly caressing my cheek.
In comfort and solace of his arms, I drifted into a peaceful sleep.
