''Hello?'' I asked, picking up my phone still eating the pancakes Damon made me.

''Hi babe.'' Damon's voice is so soft.

''Missing me already?'' I let out a soft laugh.

''Yes, I am. I wish you were here.'' He sighed.

''It's not to late to cancel the meeting and come back.'' I giggled.

''My father would kill me if I ever cancelled one of our meetings.'' He laughed. ''Did you like the pancakes?''

''They're delicious!'' I exclaimed in happiness.

''I'm glad...oh, I forgot to tell you this morning I called a taxi cab for you, since I had to use the car, it should pick you up in about twenty minutes.'' He sounded calm and cool.

''Thanks baby.'' I smiled.

''You're welcome. I have to go now, okay?'' He asked.

''Okay.'' I pouted. ''I'll see you tonight.''

''I'll look forward to it. Bye, babe.''

''Bye.''  I told him hanging up.

Soon enough, my phone was ringing again and I didn't bother to look at the caller-id.

''You forgot something?'' I laughed.

''I think you did!'' Phil yelled on the line. ''Where the fuck are you? I've called you about ten times already!''

''Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to call you last night. I'll be home soon.'' I tried to sound convincing.

''Where are you right now?'' He asked.

''I'm at Alyssa's place.'' I lied.

''Get your ass here, now!'' He yelled, hanging up on me.

On my way to home, I debated whether or no to tell Phil about  my relationship with Damon. No, screamed my subconscious, her warning face on. I decided she was right.

I slowly opened the front door and made my way inside. Phil was sitting on one of the kitchen stools, tapping his leg impatiently, nibbling his fingernails.

He noticed me and lifted his head to look at me. ''Took you long enough. I was worried sick about you!'' He yelled.

''I'm fine.'' I convinced him.

''That's not the point! I called for hours, yet you didn't have the decency to call me back?'' He got up from the kitchen stool, lifting his hands up in fury.

''I'm sorry. I forgot.'' I whispered.

''You forgot? What kind of excuse is that?'' He ran a hand through his hair, livid. ''Is that how much you respect me?'' His voice hurt.

''Phil, don't make a big deal out of it.'' I told him, trying to calm him down.

He looked at me wide eyed and slammed his hand on the kitchen. ''Yes, it is a big deal because I know you spent the night at that motherfucker's house! I thought we talked about this, last time you were in a big mess!'' He shouted.

''Last time, I was drunk Phil.'' I defended myself.

''Need I remind you, what could have happened if I wasn't there last time?'' He asked furious.

''You don't need to. I remember.'' I confessed as I closed my eyes, remembering what had happened.
