It was Saturday today. I woke up early in the morning and went for a quick run all the way to Alyssa's house. It was probably the first time all week that I've felt at bay, but I couldn't shake of this feeling that something bad was going to happen.
''When was the last time you were in a supermarket?'' I asked as Alyssa looked out of place, but kept following me dutifully, holding a shopping basket.
''I can't remember, but Jensen does all the shopping nowadays.''
''Why don't you join him?'' I asked, looking around for milk.
''He goes early in the morning and you know I'm not a morning person.'' She said, running a hand through her hair.
''Okay, how does pasta sound for tonight?'' I asked.
''Sounds good. Hey can you do your sweet chili sauce?'' She asked happily, her blue eyes bright.
''Yeah, of course. Let's go find the red peppers then.''
She nodded her head and went to the wrong direction.
''Other way, Alyssa.'' I laughed. ''You know what? Just follow me.'' I ordered as she nodded her head like soldiers.
After an hour of looking around the supermarket we reached the checkout and silently stood in line.
''Do you have anything to drink?'' She asked.
''Beer... I think.''
''I'll get some wine.'' She said, walking away looking for the wine bottles.

I looked at the time and saw that it was already six-thirty. Alyssa, Jensen and Phil should arrive at any moment now. Heading upstairs, I changed my outfit quickly and put on my grey jeans and a black floral shirt. I put on my black pumps and some light make-up. I straightened my hair out and curled the tips.
All I had to do was wait.
Twenty minutes past seven and neither Alyssa and Jensen nor Phil showed up.
I heard a knock on the door and the door bell ring knocking me out of my senses. I made my way to the door and slowly opened it, hoping it was Phil.
''Hey!'' Alyssa exclaimed as she hugged me. ''I know we're late, but the traffic was so bad today!'' She said in an exaggerated voice.
''It's okay, Phil hasn't arrived yet.'' I sighed.
''I'm sure he's on his way.'' Jensen said.
''Hey, Jensen. Good to see you.'' I said happily, hugging him. ''Why don't we sit in the living room for now?'' I asked closing the door behind me.
''Sure! Want me to open up a bottle of red wine?'' Alyssa asked.
''Yes, please!'' I whispered.
''Stop worrying. He'll be here, it's just a busy day.'' Jensen said to comfort me.
I was on edge right now. I wanted to see Phil so bad. ''I know, I know. I'm being silly, again.'' I laughed. ''It's just that-
''It's nothing, Sarah. He'll be here.'' He said, smiling.
